Time For Lunch At Santorini's In Old Own Pasadena
We always talk at the dances but usually too noisy...
We decided a leisurely lunch would be great and it was!
A great afternoon of visiting and sharing
Did You Know? - Caf? Santorini opened its doors in June 1993 at a historic brick building in Old Town Pasadena. Specializing in Mediterranean food, we offer grilled meats, seafood dishes, an array of pastas and family style appetizer platters. The indoor dining room offers a cozy intimate setting, while the outdoor patio offers year-round dining under the stars in a romantic roof-top setting. We have a full bar with an extensive wine list.
Love the old and original brickwork from late 1800's
Right off the alley at West Union Street
We forgot to tell Al & Margie there was no elevator
Margie and Sue have the best seats in the house
Right across from the two best looking guys in the house.....
Oh... We were the only guys in the house
Al got a special order of lamb! Our waiter got it from their dinner menu!
Did You Know? - The meat of a young sheep under 12 months of age is known as lamb while the meat of older sheep is typically referred to as mutton
The tabbouleh salad was perfect...
Did You Know? - Tabbouleh (Arabic: ????? tabu?lah; also tabouleh or tab(b)ouli) is a Levantine Arab salad traditionally made of bulgur, tomatoes, cucumbers, finely chopped parsley, mint, onion, and garlic and seasoned with olive oil, lemon juice, and salt, although there are various other variations such as using couscous instead of bulgur.
Traditionally served as part of a mezze in the Arab world, tabbouleh was adopted by Cypriots, variations of it are made by Turks and Armenians, and it has become a popular ethnic food in Western cultures.
Green risotto and scallops were simply fantastic
Margie tried their special.. Fish with scalloped potatoes and special tomato sauce
The view from our upstairs location....
Paul and Al giggled all afternoon
Lunch was over and time to continue our visit
The restaurant is in an old warehouse in Downtown Pasadena
When we got home Flower wanted to know where the "To Go Bag" was?!
