Going To The Fair (Page One)
We went at 10:00 AM on a Saturdays to miss the crowds and we managed to do that until about 4:00 PM when the place starts to fill up with people! We saw all of our favorite things but have to come back and make a second pass through it with Robin and family... It's tradition!
We entered from the 55 Freeway side... Easy to park!
Must get the gastronomic juices flowing!
The sign alone does that!
Must stop! Must eat! Must be miserable!
It's hundreds of feet in the sky with a tiny tiny cable
The sports arena is being reconfigured for the next event
We are riding above the Blue Bayou... Our lunch destination!
The place is virtually empty at 10:00 AM... This will not last long!
Each building is named for a location in the OC
We must remember to visit this display next time we go!
Stop the lift... It's time to eat again!
Did You Know? - The ancient Greeks covered their bread with oils, herbs and cheese.
Modern pizza evolved from similar flatbread dishes in Naples, Italy in the 18th or early 19th century. Prior to that time, flatbread was often topped with ingredients such as garlic, salt, lard, cheese, and basil. It is uncertain when tomatoes were first added and there are many conflicting claims.
Until about 1830, pizza was sold from open-air stands and out of pizza bakeries, and pizzerias keep this old tradition alive today. Antica Pizzeria Port'Alba in Naples is widely regarded as the first pizzeria.
Dang... That reminds us...
We have 120 corn plants in our back yard!
We will give it a try! Hic!
The new stadium and theater are quite nice
Coming in for a landing...
There is a small V-6 engine that runs the ride...
Piles of bacon wrapped everything!
Bacon wrapped turkey legs!
Bacon wrapped mile-long hot dogs!
More and more.... Help!
