Must be able to see the clock tower
Did You Know? - A clock tower is a tower specifically built with one or more (often four) clock faces. Clock towers can be either freestanding or part of a church or municipal building such as a town hall.
The mechanism inside the tower is known as a turret clock. It often marks the hour (and sometimes segments of an hour) by sounding large bells or chimes, sometimes playing simple musical phrases or tunes.
The flowers were out in force
Beauty everywhere. It is indeed Spring
Pansies in the hanging baskets
Did You Know? - The common words "pansy" and "violet" are often used interchangeably. When a distinction is made, plants considered to be pansies have four petals pointing upwards, and only one pointing down. Violets have three petals pointing up and two pointing down.
Thus Viola cornuta is commonly referred to as a pansy. However, modern horticulturalists tend to use the term "pansy" for those multicolored large-flowered hybrids that are grown for bedding purposes every year, while "viola" is usually reserved for smaller, more delicate annuals and perennials.
Where is the Christmas Tree???
The baskets were everywhere

Icelandic Poppies
Did You Know? - Native to subpolar regions of Europe, Asia and North America, and the mountains of Central Asia (but not in Iceland), Iceland poppies are hardy but short-lived perennials, often grown as biennials, that yield large, papery, bowl-shaped, lightly fragrant flowers supported by hairy, one foot, curved stems among feathery blue-green foliage 1-6 inches long.
They were first described by botanists in 1759. The wild species blooms in white or yellow, and is hardy from USDA Zones 3a-10b. All parts of this plant are likely to be poisonous, containing (like all poppies) toxic alkaloids.

The Surrey was ready to go
Did You Know? -
A surrey is a horse-drawn, four-wheeled, two-seated pleasure carriage with an open spindle seat.
The name comes from Surrey, the county in southern England where it was first built.[citation needed] It resembles a cabriolet but has a straight or nearly straight bottom, sometimes cut under. Originally English, it was introduced into the United States in 1872.

It includes nine floats all celebrating Walt Disney Production's catchy tunes. The music used in the parade is derived from Hong Kong Disneyland's Flights of Fantasy Parade. The parade went on hiatus for the 2011-2012 holiday season to make way for A Christmas Fantasy Parade and again for the 2012-2013 holiday season but returned when the holiday seasons ended.

Mickey Mouse plays drums and cymbals on the float shaped as his head, accompanied by his counter part, Minnie Mouse and Pluto following behind. Chip 'n' Dale follow the unit on foot while pushing Goofy, who appears on a smaller float occasionally hitting a large drum behind him.

Aladdin's Magical Cymbal Celebration: Based on the 1992 animated film. The diamond-in-the-rough street rat Prince Ali dances atop a small float raining with gold coins in front of a golden gong. The Genie leads his dancing team, which is formed of six harem girls with cymbals on their wrists and a golden coin dancer. A banana covered man dances and pushes Abu behind the float.

Sebastian's Calypso Carnival: Based on the 1989 animated film. Princess Ariel rides atop a bubble-filled float dominated by a blue and purple instrument-playing octopus. Royal Princess Romantic Melodies: Presenting the Princesses are six Royal Court dancers with large curls, and large dresses. On the Rapunzel's tower and Snow White's wishing well inspired float, are the Disney princesses: Snow White from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella from Cinderella, Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty, Belle from Beauty and the Beast and Rapunzel from Tangled.
The princesses ... No, it's Rapunzel
Did You Know? - "Rapunzel" (/rəˈpʌnzəl/; German pronunciation: [ʁaˈpʊnt͡səl]) is a German fairy tale in the collection assembled by the Brothers Grimm, and first published in 1812 as part of Children's and Household Tales. More...
Simba's Beastly Beats: Characters such as King Louie from The Jungle Book, Simba from The Lion King, and Terk from Tarzan are featured in this float. Simba stands atop a smaller drum-shaped float with a flying talkless Zazu on front before a golden sun featuring the image of King Mufasa. With four monkeys monkeying around in front, a Lioness in a cage dress growling at guests, and 2 dancing stilt walkers beating their drums, the float roars on.
Roar.....
Tiana's New Orleans Jazz Jubilee: Based on the 2009 animated film. Tiana and Louis, the trumpet-playing alligator, ride aboard an instrument-inspired boat. Also present on the float as decorations are Ray the firefly, from the same film, as well as Evinrude the dragonfly, from The Rescuers. Five revelers twirl in front, while two giant Mardi Gras mask girls follow behind.
The gator with the horn
Peter Pan's Neverland Buccaneer Blast: Based on the 1953 animated film. Pirates are described as having come out from Neverland. Captain Hook & Mr. Smee with two pirates chases Peter Pan around the base of the float. Tinkerbell takes on the starring role atop the smaller float, which is decorated with giant flowers and humongous mushrooms to make the diminutive pixie appear smaller than the other characters in the parade. Three butterfly girls fly around the drum-like float, and generously share their joy and happiness to everyone watching.
Tinker bell
Did You Know? - Tinker Bell was described by Barrie as a fairy who mended pots and kettles, like an actual tinker. Her speech consists of the sounds of a tinkling bell, which is understandable only to those familiar with the language of the fairies.
In the original stage productions, she was represented on stage by a darting light "created by a small mirror held in the hand off-stage and reflecting a little circle of light from a powerful lamp" and her voice was a "a collar of bells and two special ones that Barrie brought from Switzerland".
Mary Poppin's Spoonful of Rhythm: Based on the 1964 animated- and live-action musical film. The larger float features chimney sweeps, with Mary Poppins and Bert riding on bicycle carousel horses behind the brightly colored, smut-covered sweeps. Various characters ride the bicycle float and deliver the greatest "Jolly Holiday" of "Soundsational".

Fantastic music... Great ceremony
The colors are retired for the evening
Did You Know? - Prior to Flag Day, June 14, 1923, neither the federal government nor the states had official guidelines governing the display of the United States' flag.
On June 14, 1923, the National Flag Code was constructed by representatives of over 68 organizations, under the auspices of the National Americanism Commission of The American Legion. The code drafted by that conference was printed by the national organization of The American Legion and given nationwide distribution.
On June 22, 1942, the Code became Public Law 77-623; chapter 435 Little had changed in the code since the Flag Day 1924 Conference.
They to a nice job and we enjoy the ceremony every time we go to Disneyland

Remember? - The joyful news that He is risen does not change the contemporary world. Still before us lie work, discipline, sacrifice. But the fact of Easter gives us the spiritual power to do the work, accept the discipline, and make the sacrifice. ~Henry Knox Sherrill
