The Boats They Are Coming
We headed to Newport about 3:00 PM and still had some traffic but we made it at 4:00 PM and got a good table under a stand-up heater! We met Irene at the facility and the four of us had a great time.
The parade of 100 decorated boats set sail at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. This is the longest-running boat parade in America.
We were right there; the perfect spot!!!
As you can tell it was cold!
Jeff had his leather jacket ready for this evening.

Decked out in furs and lights! Bring on the boats!
We met up with Beverly and Bill at the next table!
My lights are not even plugged it; its energy from Mary!
We light up our lives!
They are decorated all over!
Looking good!
We really admired Irene new hat! It looks warm!
We checked Jeff, we was frozen solid yet!
"Thank you Mary, I was getting worried!"
The boats were pretty good sized!
Even the little guys got dressed up!
The band was taking a break!
The tree was decorated top to bottom!
Across the dance floor was another great tree!
The free standing heaters were working overtime tonight!
We estimated about 250 people attended the event!
Jeff began singing as we departed.....
"Mary with your lights so bright,
won't you lead me out of here tonight!"
