Saganaki here I come ... Can you see the flames?
Did You Know? - In Greek cuisine, saganaki (Greek σαγανάκι) is any one of a variety of dishes prepared in a small frying pan, the best-known being an appetizer of fried cheese.
The dishes are named for the frying pan in which they are prepared, called a saganaki, which is a diminutive of sagani, a frying pan with two handles, which comes from the Turkish word sahan 'copper dish', itself borrowed from Arabic صحن (ṣaḥn).
In many United States and Canadian restaurants, after being fried, the saganaki cheese is flambéed at the table (sometimes with a shout of "opa!"), and the flames then extinguished with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
This is called "flaming saganaki" and apparently originated in 1968 at The Parthenon restaurant in Chicago's Greektown, based on the suggestion of a customer to owner Chris Liakouras.
He almost caught himself on fire... A squeeze or two of fresh lemon and volia!
Done! Ready to eat!
It disappeared instantly
Nice looking salad!
Large hunk of salmon
Did You Know? -
Chile and Norway are the two largest salmon farming countries in the world. Verlasso salmon comes from Chile, where the clear, pristine waters of Patagonia are perfect for raising healthy salmon.
The distinctive pinkish red color of salmon comes from astaxanthin, which is a beta carotene the fish get from their diets. Flamingos also get their color from this anti-oxidant. And it can be found in tomatoes, peppers and carrots as well.
Craig is "The Hungary Man"
"Opa"... Nancy, Sue, and Paul killed off a bottle of GREEK chardonnay!
This un-oaked Chardonnay has a nicely balanced floral, citrus and pineapple bouquet, with lemon-lime flavors and good acidity.

We had a visitor! Bark the Wonder Dog ---
No Marianne, you can not take him home
Did You Know? - A bark is a sound most commonly produced by dogs. Other animals that make this noise include wolves, pinnipeds, foxes and quolls. Woof is the most common representation in the English language for this sound, especially for large dogs. Other transliterations include the onomatopoeic ruff, arf, au au, bow-wow, and, for small dogs, yip. "Bark" is also a verb that describes the sharp explosive cry of certain animals.
