After "surfin' the net" for midi music befitting a "memories" web page, I came upon your DooWop site. Man, it was like I was home again! I've spent the entire evening just listening to the "tunes" I so enjoyed a few lighters ago (at least it seems that way). I've always had a special place in my heart for DooWop, but haven't found too many others that also like it.
Great groups like The Platters, The Shirelles, and my favorite, The Drifters will never go out of style as long as people can appreciate good harmony. I sing in a church choir, and much as it is satisfying, I would still like to find a few others locally who would like to get together once a week or so, just for kicks do perform DooWop, a cappella if necessary!
I've tried Barber Shop, but it just isn't my cup of tea. Enough for now. I simply wanted to say "thank you" for the tunes. I will visit often, especially when I need a smile on my face!
