A Rose for a Rose!<\/p><\/div>\n

At 5:00 am, the old peepers went into overdrive, and I had to get up!\u00a0 Mary followed suit in about an hour, and we talked about last night’s amazing adventure to Jojo’s!<\/p>\n

We found fun right around the corner!<\/p><\/div>\n

After our coffee, I jumped in the Silver Fox and went to Home Depot to get some tomatoes and peppers to replace the ones that are all used up.\u00a0 Two bags of planter mix also jumped into the cart.\u00a0 We are ready to rock and roll in the garden!<\/p>\n

Mary met me in the garage as I pulled in, and the expression on her face meant we were going to go to breakfast!\u00a0 She suggested the Bagel Store, and I totally agreed with that; their cheese and jalape\u00f1o bagels are super!\u00a0 After munching on the bagels and sipping on our lattes, we headed home!<\/p>\n

Dining Al fresco at the local bagel store before we go to work!<\/p><\/div>\n

Mary thought she would do some easy work in the garden, but I fooled her.\u00a0 I pointed to the corn and said, “Let’s get busy!”\u00a0 It was then I learned what “Let’s” means!\u00a0 \u00a0It means you do your thing, and I will do mine!<\/p>\n

SO Mary picked and trimmed, looking in my direction only to see if I had fallen over yet!<\/p>\n

I had 64 corn stalks to dig up and turn the soil underneath.\u00a0 \u00a0Then, I had to plant six new tomato plants along the sides of the large garden.<\/p>\n

Mary, the smart one, went inside after about an hour, as it was approaching 11:00 am and getting hot.\u00a0 Besides, she still needs to get rid of that pesky cold!<\/p>\n

I worked from 10:00 am until 2:45 pm, almost five hours.\u00a0 Mary came out again around 2:00 pm and ordered me to stop!\u00a0 With the help of Dr. Mary, we filled one 100-gallon trash can to overflowing.<\/p>\n

We tore out 64 corn stalks!<\/p><\/div>\n

Even though it was very warm, I kept feeling a draft, and only the next morning, when I looked at today’s pictures, did I discover the reason why.<\/p>\n

I was feeling a breeze coming from somewhere!<\/p><\/div>\n

At 3 pm, we were cooked, and it was time to clean up and wait for our guest, who would drop by around 4:00 pm.<\/p>\n

WHO said old??<\/p><\/div>\n

We spent the rest of the day watching TV, and on occasion, I would return to the office to work on a section of the website called Paul’s Memory Book<\/a>… It’s a work in progress!\u00a0 \u00a0It is just me attempting to remember growing up and going through life.\u00a0 No one will care about it, but perhaps some of the kids might find it interesting, unless they have something more interesting to do, like removing the cuticles from their fingernails.<\/p>\n

We finally crashed around 10:00 pm.<\/p>\n
