We heard Colleen mumbling in her room!<\/p><\/div>\n

We just dropped Colleen off, and we already miss her!\u00a0 The 11:30 am drop-off was perfectly timed.\u00a0 She was only with us for a week.\u00a0 At this rate, we might have to install a revolving door.\u00a0 Luckily, she’ll be back in April for Charlie’s graduation\u2014our star eighteen-year-old grandson who’s escaping high school and heading for the wild world of college!<\/p>\n

We returned directly home and read for quite a while.\u00a0 Mary just started a new book, and I am fifteen pages from the end of a book in the Oregon Files series.<\/p>\n

I feel for those who cannot read and imagine themselves in the book, buckling swash along with the heroes, fighting tooth and nail for good.\u00a0 They know not what they are missing.<\/p><\/div>\n

I swapped the flag from St. Valentine’s to St. Patrick’s Day.\u00a0 The old St.Paddy’ss flag is looking a little “worse for the wear” (more O’Shabby than O’Shamrock), so we’re ordering a new one this year.<\/p>\n

Since it is going to rain most of the week, I took a quick walk through the garden and found that the berries are beginning to sprout.\u00a0 This year, I plan to keep them in check and not go wild, invading the neighbor’s yard.<\/p>\n

This year, I plan to fertilize the canes regularly, starting tomorrow, if it is not raining too hard.<\/p>\n

All of the canes are beginning to show signs of growth!\u00a0 This year should be perfect.<\/p><\/div>\n

The neighbor’s tree is my challenge this year.\u00a0 We are going to try to eat all the oranges so they do not drop to the ground.\u00a0 \u00a0That means once a week, when the gardener is working, I will be next door picking oranges.<\/p>\n

Jim (our neighbor)\u00a0 loves it when we pick, since they are seldom home!<\/p><\/div>\n

We finished the day watching “Suits” and alternately getting mad at Louis Litt and giggling at him!\u00a0 The show changes emphasis very often.\u00a0 Our favorite is Donna because Donna is just like Robin!<\/p>\n

Just before 6:00\u2014right before the outdoor lights were scheduled to kick on\u2014I switched them from Valentine’s Red to St. Patrick’s Green.\u00a0 Exterior decorating in seconds: one tap on the iPhone and poof\u2026 my house went from “Be Mine” to “Kiss Me, I’m Irish.” Thanks, Govee (and my thumb).<\/p>\n

I threw together dinner for Mary using a greatest-hits compilation of our leftovers.\u00a0 I wasn’t hungry\u2014probably because I spent the whole day “taste-testing” bread and butter like it was my full-time job.<\/p>\n

What do you get if you cross poison ivy with a four-leaf clover?\u00a0 A rash of good luck.<\/span><\/p>\n

We await St Patrick to come down the fireplace and leave us such serious whiskey!<\/p><\/div>\n

We finally switched off the boob tube at 10:30 pm and went to bed.\u00a0 Tomorrow will be another interesting day.\u00a0 Rain outside means housework inside!<\/p>\n

NOTE:\u00a0 We got a text from our girl, and she landed safely in Boston and is on her way home!<\/p>\n
