Who needs markers and whiteboards to learn?\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n

Amazing!!\u00a0 We found the top of Mary’s desk, and it looks like it has not been touched in years (it hasn’t).\u00a0 Also found was a petrified balony sandwich, a partridge from a pear tree, and Jimmy Hoffa!<\/p>\n

Gone but not forgotten!<\/p><\/div>\n

Mary worked in the office, and super-husband did the laundry, made the bed, did two loads of wash, cleaned out a closet, and puttered around doing little jobs here and there.<\/p>\n

Around 2:30 pm, we stopped and got gussied up for Alyson’s Birthday Party at the Elks!\u00a0 \u00a0Alyson is turning 65 (last September), but we are celebrating today since the postseason venues have cleared up.\u00a0 We arrived right on time at 5:00 pm and sat with the gang at the table adjacent to the dance floor!\u00a0 Our group of twenty dancers got the prime spot for the evening, and we were treated to “The Little Big Band” featuring Chuck Shirley and the gang.<\/p>\n

When the line dance began, Mary, Donna, and Viccjy hit the floor running.<\/p>\n

Poetry in motion!!!<\/p><\/div>\n

At the table, we were regaled with stories from our head storyteller, Miss Vicky.\u00a0 Vicky kept us in stitches the entire evening, and Jim filled in some blanks!<\/p>\n

Ahhhhhhhh<\/p><\/div>\n

I was taken by surprise, and that does NOT happen very often!\u00a0 A lady approached Mary and asked if I would dance with her.\u00a0 Mary mumbled something about “…I do rent him our on occasions….tonight will be OK….”<\/p>\n

Then I was whisked off my feet, led to the dance floor, and began my meanest Cha Cha!\u00a0 \u00a0When the dance was over, she left and headed toward some other gentlemen sitting at their table, unaware of what was about to happen to them!<\/p>\n

My curiosity was piqued about Mary’s rental fees, but I hesitated to ask for the answer, for fear that it might be disappointing.\u00a0 I mean, I am worth more than a dime a dance, right?\u00a0 The rental fee subject never came up, so I let it drop!<\/p>\n

We’re having fun dancing the night away!<\/p><\/div>\n

We did some waltzes along with a ChaCha and the Cowboy Cha Cha.<\/p>\n

The Cowboy Cha-Cha is a popular country line dance, an offshoot of the Latin Cha-Cha, known for its simple, rhythmic steps like the “chass\u00e9,” often danced solo or with a partner to country, pop, or Latin music, famous for its “cha-cha-cha” footwork and popular songs like “Neon Moon, blending Latin roots with Western flair.<\/div>\n

After a while, we headed home. The DJ did an excellent job, but I was getting tired of jumping up and down and wiggling my arms. The Silver Fox took us home and we crashed.<\/p>\n
