\u00a0Sometimes I feel like I am single-handedly keeping the medical profession afloat!\u00a0 Today it is like Dr. Pepper, 10 pm, 2 pm, and 4 pm!\u00a0 WARNING, do not turn 80…skip 80 and go from seventy-nine to eighty-one!<\/p>\n

Mary was feeling much better but not quite 100% this morning.\u00a0 While I offered to go to the doctor’s appointments by myself, she thought that was a terrible idea!\u00a0 \u00a0She is a trooper, and I think she loves me too!<\/p>\n

We called Colleen before we departed, and she was babysitting two of our great-grandchildren.\u00a0 We saw them running around in the video call.\u00a0 We sent her our latest solution so she can get some rest during the day!<\/p>\n

We had an idea for Colleen!<\/p><\/div>\n

We got ready for appointment number uno, a visit to the nephrologist (yes, I had to look it up!).<\/p>\n

Did You Know? <\/b> A kidney doctor is called a nephrologist.\u00a0 They specialize in diagnosing and treating diseases and conditions that affect the kidneys.\u00a0 Nephrologists have extensive training in kidney function, kidney disorders, and kidney transplantation.<\/div>\n

  
\nMy kidney efficiency numbers seemed out of whack, but I have been taking several new meds, and the Afib makes the heart inefficient, so we are hoping it is that simple.<\/p>\n

After plating twenty questions, she said I am probably suffering from low numbers because of AFib and a change in meds.\u00a0 We are going to get some tests and come back to see her on August 20th.<\/p>\n

Between doctors, we went to Benji’s Deli and shared some chicken noodle soup and a pastrami sandwich.\u00a0 I overindulged and had a piece of apple pie.<\/p>\n

We shared one of these huge sandwiches!<\/p><\/div>\n

Because of Mary’s cold, we also took some medicine!<\/p>\n

Doctor number two was the cardiologist.\u00a0 Dr. Ty Cobb is located adjacent to this morning’s doctors, which is why we didn’t go all the way home!<\/p>\n

Dr. Cobb looked at the data and said I was ready for the upcoming operation on the carotid artery, and they would try to do the ablation before we set sail for the Caribbean.<\/p>\n

\nNow it was time to return home for real!\u00a0 We took the freeway, and lo and behold, it was wide open.\u00a0 We were home in less than ten minutes!<\/p>\n

Mary changed into jammies and hit the sack; it was a long day for her, and she was not feeling well.<\/p>\n

I worked in the office for a couple of hours.<\/p>\n

Around six, she started to stir, so we headed to the TV room to watch Lethal Weapon.\u00a0 One of the characters was replaced due to his behavior on the set.\u00a0 That was too bad for him, but the new guy is also funny and an ex-special forces guy.\u00a0 We will have more gunshots shortly.<\/p>\n

We finally crashed at 11:00 pm.<\/p>\n
