Perhaps that was an overstatement; I planned to take over our block, but even that seemed too much.\u00a0 I settled for taking over our kitchen and making a cup of coffee while doing it!<\/p>\n
We enjoyed our coffee while sitting on the patio, as it was another exquisite day here in paradise.<\/p>\n
Since we were going to see Michele, it occurred to us that she might need some fresh veggies, so we went harvesting.\u00a0 \u00a0 I need to remind Mary not to wear her leopard jammies while harvesting, because someone might mistake her for a wild animal and take a potshot at her.<\/p>\n

Mary gets the “perfect” corn for Michele!<\/p><\/div>\n
We returned to the patio, and it was time for Scout to eat and take his medication.\u00a0 Mary had a slice of cheese and carefully hid the pills inside; Scout took it like a champ!\u00a0 Then we saw the advertisement in the paper, so we are awaiting a phone call from his lawyer.<\/p>\n

We got cleaned up and headed toward Huntiongtonn Beach for a combo birthday and graduation party at Michele’s.\u00a0 \u00a0Michele is now ## years old, and Theo is off to the University of California, Davis.\u00a0 Before he goes, he needs to have his cap put on his head correctly.\u00a0 So, unwitting suspects were rounded up and given a blindfold, spun around three times, and handed a cap complete with double-sided scotch tape.\u00a0 \u00a0Where the cap ends up is anybody’s guess.<\/p>\n

Looks just like him; they gave up the idea of using darts!<\/p><\/div>\n
Mary was selected, and off she went.<\/p>\n

She made sure the tape was sticky!<\/p><\/div>\n
Mary did not quite make the target, and many people will wonder why the eye doctor was unable to see through the blindfold.<\/p>\n

We visited everyone for an hour and fifteen minutes, but had to depart for the wedding, which was in Corona Del Mar.\u00a0 \u00a0Robin stayed behind and kept visiting everyone.\u00a0 Bob was in New Mexico playing a gig near Las Cruces.<\/p>\n
Just before we departed, a Monarch butterfly came to visit its Milkweed plant.<\/p>\n
Did You Know?\u00a0 <\/b>\u00a0<\/span>Milkweed, known for its milky sap, is a vital plant for monarch butterflies as it’s the only food source for their caterpillars.\u00a0 While toxic to many animals due to its sap containing cardiac glycosides, Monarchs have evolved to tolerate and even store these toxins, becoming unpalatable to predators.\u00a0 Milkweed also provides nectar for various pollinators, and its floss was used to stuff life jackets during World War II.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n He was as happy as a seagull with a French fry!<\/p><\/div>\n Now we zoom in on the Corona Del Mar Community Church for the wedding of Sandra and Bill.\u00a0 We parked at Sherman Gardens and walked the two blocks to the venue, where we met up with Bob, Donna, Vicky, and Jim.<\/p>\n We did not take pictures during the ceremony (only the photographer took pictures, by request).\u00a0 The camera resumed operation as soon as we arrived at the reception.<\/p>\n Wow!!!<\/p><\/div>\n Sandy looked beguiling at the reception.\u00a0 I took it upon myself to see that she got appetizers and a drink as soon as she arrived.\u00a0 That meant I had to carry the bridal bouquet and the gift for the pastor around after her while she visited everyone.<\/p>\n They are off to show their dancing skills!<\/p><\/div>\n They entered the Crystal Ballroom to a rousing cheer!\u00a0 They danced to “Beyond The Sea” by Bobby Darin.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n![\"\"](\"http:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2025\/06\/2025-06-21-009-650x488.jpg\")
