The mechanic still had his jammies on (so did I, and they were NOT matching)<\/p><\/div>\n

Alexa went off precisely at 6:00 am, and at 6:00 am and 1.3 seconds, I had the sound off so the princess would not wake up.\u00a0 \u00a0As I tiptoed into the office to change into my “go wait two hours clothes” and gather my laptop, she came around the corner, ensuring I took my morning pills!<\/p>\n

To the garage I went, opening the door with the utmost care.\u00a0 At 6:15 am, I was heading down Jamboree towards the ocean!\u00a0 I arrived at Tustim Lexus at 6:45 am and checked in. So far, so good.\u00a0 Two hours later, all was well.\u00a0 They even changed the air in the tires, excellent service!<\/p>\n

When I got home, Mary was up, and I had a breakfast fit for a king awaiting me!<\/p>\n

Robin came over at noon and visited for a couple of hours.\u00a0 We went on a one-mile walk around the hood and saw all the changes that had been made since our last outing.\u00a0 Mary and I are going back on the one-mile walk once or twice a day!<\/p>\n

Our neighbor was having a garden display, so we visited.\u00a0 We took many pictures and sent them to Jeff so he could be a virtual visitor.<\/p>\n

As we crossed the street and turned the corner, we spotted many others doing the same thing.<\/p>\n

The entire yard was covered with beautiful plants.<\/p><\/div>\n

We were welcomed to Linda’s garden!\u00a0 Today is also International Garden Naked Day, always held on the first Saturday in May!\u00a0 Fortunately, it was too cold for me to come in costume (is naked a costume?), so I wore clothes.<\/p>\n

Once a year, she opens it up to visitors.<\/p><\/div>\n

Robin joined us at noon and took us for our necessary walk.\u00a0 We walked one mile around the hood and then visited the garden.<\/p>\n

This shrubby perennial is grown in gardens. Its common names include “today,” “tomorrow together,” “yesterday,” “today and tomorrow,” “morning,” “noon,” “night,” “kiss me quick,” and “Brazil raintree.” We call it “Yesterday,” “Today,” and “Tomorrow” based on the way the flowers change colors!<\/p>\n

The blue flowers are “Foxgloves.” Foxglove flowers, scientifically known as Digitalis purpurea, are tall, beautiful plants with bell-shaped flowers in various shades of pink, purple, white, and yellow. They are known for their distinct speckled throats and are a popular choice for gardens due to their striking appearance and ability to attract pollinators.<\/p>\n

The bright blue sets them off from the other flowers.<\/p><\/div>\n

Many of the flowers look like wildflowers, spread out throughout her yard.<\/p>\n

The colors were amazing!<\/p><\/div>\n

Looking carefully, you will find watering cans all over the property!<\/p>\n

This is a great place to sit in the afternoon!<\/p><\/div>\n

The roses were everywhere, and she had many different climbing roses, each in its own place, that had been in place for years based on their size.<\/p>\n

Butter yellow!<\/p><\/div>\n

The passion fruits were lavender, but no fruits were visible yet!\u00a0 Passion fruit originates from South America, specifically from the region stretching from southern Brazil through Paraguay to northern Argentina. The fruit has been cultivated since ancient times, primarily by Indigenous communities in these areas. It was later introduced to Europe in 1553 by Spanish and Portuguese colonists.<\/p>\n

It looked like someone painted it!<\/p><\/div>\n

We walked back home about a half-block and admired our Hollyhocks, which we will prepare to eat tomorrow.\u00a0 We will clean the flowers out, stuff them with soft cheese, and bake them!<\/p>\n

Robin headed home around 2:00 p.m., and we rested for a while. The mist disappeared, so I worked in the garden for a while, trimming the grapes and onions.<\/p>\n

We departed for the Packard International Awards Dinner at 5:15 p.m., picking up Dianne along the way. The ladies were dressed in their “Great Gatsby” costumes.<\/p>\n

I like my “Mobster Outfit”.<\/p><\/div>\n

We had an excellent meal, and we brought home salmon and steak for Mr. Scout\u2014a treat he will certainly enjoy!<\/p>\n

After the ceremony, we headed home, and since it was misting, we parked the car valet to avoid getting wet.<\/p>\n

At 10:00 p.m., we were off and running. We took the freeway home, which took about 15 minutes. We all had a good time!<\/p>\n
