It\u2019s a perfect morning, and the wind has finally gone! I could finally open the curtains without feeling like I was in a scene from a disaster movie. Honestly, the last time I saw the wind, it looked like it was auditioning for \u201cAmerica\u2019s Next Top Model\u201d \u2013 blowing my hair in directions\u00a0 I didn\u2019t even know were possible!<\/p>\n

Leaves everywhere! We’ve got piles of leaves from all our neighbors\u2014it’s like we’ve won the Leaf Lottery! If our gardener doesn’t show up this week, I might have to channel my inner Ghostbuster and vacuum them up. Just imagine me in a ghostbuster suit, shouting, \u201cWho you gonna call,\u00a0 Leaf Busters!” ??<\/p>\n

Robin, Mary, and Vicky were huddled on the phone making my surprise birthday arrangements; I was asked to leave the room when someone said something about a “tan dinosaur)!<\/p>\n

Poof!!\u00a0 The closest thing I have to a “Man Cave” and I was thrown out.<\/p>\n

We had absolutely nothing planned until 3:00 pm, so Mary decided to embrace her inner Picasso and went to The Loft to unleash her creative genius. I assume she painted a masterpiece!<\/p>\n

Mary gave me a “one time only” pass to follow her upstairs!<\/p><\/div>\n

To my delight, she was already splashing paint around like the paint counter at Home Depot!\u00a0 It is obvious she needs a bidet to wear when she is painting because all the artists wear bidets!\u00a0 \u00a0Oops, I think I meant “beret”!<\/p>\n

Busy as a bee!<\/p><\/div>\n

She put the finishing touches on last week’s assignment this afternoon.\u00a0 A few more leaves were added to the trees, and the rocks on the right were finished!\u00a0 \u00a0The lady has hidden talents!<\/p>\n

Move over Mona Lisa and make room for real art!!<\/p><\/div>\n

Robin requested that some fall pumpkins be painted, and Mary created the image below. I tried to assist, and when Mary asked me to take pictures of maple leaves, I got excited, raced to my trusty iMac, and printed out her request.\u00a0 I did model for the two fat pumpkins on the left thanks to my tummy being of similar size ands shape!<\/p>\n

She mentioned a Light Box would be helpful, so what will be in her hands tomorrow morning?<\/p>\n

Mary will have a standup multipurpose lightbox courtesy of Amazon!<\/p><\/div>\n

One must study the colors carefully!\u00a0 I am studying her ergometrics\u00a0 (I bet you didn’t know girls have ergometrics!).\u00a0 I am adjusting accordingly.\u00a0 The portable roll-around “nightstand” I had at the old house would be perfect for housing other painting media, plus it would be another flat spot for holding things she is painting.<\/p>\n

M-m-m-m-m-m: What color should I use?<\/p><\/div>\n

The smile means a perfect color match was achieved!\u00a0 She smiles a lot.<\/p>\n

Ah Ha… That’s it!<\/p><\/div>\n

Now we are off to the club for “Dueling Pianos.”\u00a0 We are going with Charlotte and Nita, longtime friends! Dinner and music\u2014what could be better? The club had a dance floor set up for the crowd, which was indeed used.<\/p>\n

The dance floor was ready!<\/p><\/div>\n

Oh my, I was surrounded by beautiful ladies!\u00a0 We are in the large rooms used for weddings and special events.\u00a0 We had four of the five rooms as a wedding in the next room had just ended in the complex’s east end.<\/p>\n

Ladies, enjoy the evening.<\/p><\/div>\n

Notice Marty dressed me in a piano shirt to match the evening. They had a buffet set up, and it was pretty good. I filled my plate the first time through, and in an attempt to control my waistline, I only went through it six times!<\/p>\n

Just us.<\/p><\/div>\n

After a wonderful dinner, the music started, and we went off and danced.\u00a0 The floor was packed, but the music was generally “wiggle and jump around” music, which was not so much really danceable.<\/p>\n

Girls gone wild.<\/p><\/div>\n

Mary and Charlotte stood out among the other dancers. They danced in color, while the rest were only in black and white!<\/p>\n

Go, Charlotte, go!\u00a0 She was a dance teacher for many years and enjoyed getting up and moving\u2014mostly because she was always one step away from stepping on a student’s foot! Who knew that “the chicken dance” could also double as a self-defense move?\u00a0 She does every ballroom dance known to man and a few others only beings from other planets have seen!<\/p>\n

Yes, they did the chicken dance this evening!<\/p>\n

Go, Charlotte, Go!<\/p><\/div>\n

There were some line dances, and everyone (but me) was up and moving. I was sitting there like a confused penguin at a salsa party, wondering if I accidentally wandered into a dance-off or a fitness class for octopuses!<\/p>\n

Ready to dance?<\/p><\/div>\n

Mary and I got to dance a few dances during the evening!\u00a0 We whirled and twirled with the best of them!<\/p>\n

We showed them how it was supposed to be done!<\/p><\/div>\n

Line dancing began, and Mary went up and went to town.\u00a0 I took a video until the camera flashed two warnings.\u00a0 The first was “adults only,” and the second was “overheating!”<\/p>\n
