Step right this way!<\/p><\/div>\n

It is Wednesday because my body hurts, which means we went to the gym!\u00a0 My trainer tied me to a new machine that was connected to the back of an eighteen-wheeler, or it seemed so! The steel cable got tight, my body stretched six inches, and my cries of pain were heard clear over in Santa Monica. OUCH!!\u00a0 No longer do they call me Shortie!<\/p>\n

We rushed home after ordering our pizza for Sunday’s pumpkin carving extravaganza. I mean, you need pizza to carve Pumpkins.<\/p>\n

I am excited about a recent purchase:\u00a0 Mary’s art travel bag! I took my life in my hands and ordered it without her knowing, but it seemed Mary-like: happy, smiling, cheerful, and full of energy!<\/p>\n

Mary can wheel it into class and paint away!\u00a0 I can carry it to the loft when we return home, where her creative juices will continue to flow!<\/p>\n

Little does she know!!<\/p><\/div>\n

On the way home from the gym, we decided to go to the club for dinner as we needed to pay our “minimum.”<\/p>\n

Since the house cleaning crew was here, we opted to go to the club (Old Ranch Country Club)\u00a0 a little early and have a glass of wine.<\/p>\n

What a relaxing view.<\/p><\/div>\n

As we scurried in the front door, we were met by a plethora of Halloween decorations.\u00a0 The poor horsey has to endure the decorations; we were sure he was mortified, but he must greet Old Ranchers.<\/p>\n

Juan was serving us, and we asked if he had seen Charlotte since her trip to Denmark.\u00a0 He looked up and out the window, and sure enough, Charlotte was coming from the 18th hole.\u00a0 We texted and waived, and she came in to join us.\u00a0 I thought about starting a little fire in the ice bucket to get her attention, but I was suggested to cease that activity.<\/p>\n

After a glass of wine, we headed to Vicky’s, about two and a half miles away as the car flew.\u00a0 We visited with her and brought her a Christmas present, an air fryer perfect for cooking small meals for Jim and her.<\/p>\n

Then, at 5:30 p.m., we left for the ranch to continue the cavorting. The front desk was also decorated to the hilt, and Mary could not resist!<\/p>\n

We will take a vote!<\/p><\/div>\n

We had a wonderful dinner and got updated on each other’s trials and tribulations.\u00a0 Vicky and Paul did the fantastic chili. Conversations ranged from the light-hearted to the profoundly serious.<\/p>\n

On our way out, we stopped at the front desk and asked the greeter to take a picture\u2014but do not cut off our heads or legs! She apparently chose legs. I swear, I am going to make a business card that says, “For $10, I will teach you to take pictures of people!”<\/p>\n

I would teach them NOT to cut off heads or feet, how to use the portrait mode, how to avoid poles sticking out of people’s heads, and NOT to take a pictures into the sun!\u00a0 You know, the basics!!<\/p>\n

After dinner, on our way home.<\/p><\/div>\n

Meet Bones, Scout’s new friend.\u00a0 With all the skeletons surrounding him, he was having a field day.<\/p>\n

We drove home on a beautiful night. Mary napped, and I listened to The Grand Ole Opry on Willie’s Roadhouse XM radio! We got home around 9:30 p.m. and visited with Scout before going to bed.<\/p>\n
