\"\"Saturday morning, we made sure to pack up all of Christmas and get it ready for hibernation until next year.\u00a0 Mary was still feeling stiff from her desert ride, but she’s doing much better now.<\/p>\n

We did the last-minute things like putting up the Valentine’s Day flag and putting away the New Year’s Day flag.<\/p>\n

The last items were easy, as I bought two additional containers!<\/p><\/div>\n

With tremendous persuasion and veiled threats, I made Mary rest before we planned to go out for the evening.<\/p>\n

Jan promised to call and let us know if she would go tonight, so we waited until the last moment; no call, no Jan.\u00a0 \u00a0 We got ready to go to the Elks and stopped by and got Dianne.\u00a0 It was a hot time in the old town tonight!<\/p>\n

We zipped down the freeway a few short minutes from the house and joined with 100 of our favorite people for a delightful evening of 1950s music, dinner, and dancing!<\/p>\n

Good friends and a wonderful time!<\/p><\/div>\n

Ronnie, the DJ and all-around great friend, was the master of ceremonies!\u00a0 He made the evening special with absolutely fantastic and danceable music!<\/p>\n

The man of the hour!<\/p><\/div>\n

Our group was the regulars: Jim & Vicky, Dianne, Bob & Donna, Bill\u00a0 Mary, Will & Iris.\u00a0 We were missing the Roberts, Andersons, and Branders, but they will be joining us at the next event,<\/p>\n

We started the evening by playing Lee Greenwood, singing God Bless The USA, and bringing the entire Lodge to their feet.<\/p><\/div>\n

The menu was lacking escargot, so we tried to assist!<\/p>\n

Bob so wanted escargot this evening; we helped!<\/p><\/div>\n

Bob snapped the shutter as I was about to suggest putting a bag over my head!<\/p>\n

Just us!<\/p><\/div>\n

The Pink Ladies were in full regalia, and Frency did their hair; can you tell?<\/p>\n

\"\"

The Pink Ladies were there!<\/p><\/div>\n

The evening was lively, with Vicky coming up with great ideas; everybody walked carefully around our table!<\/p>\n

\"\"

Careful, Danger ahead!<\/p><\/div>\n

Vicky told us how men and women prepare to go out; the difference is quite dis-stink-tive (not misspelled).<\/p>\n

Vicky gots the giggles!<\/p><\/div>\n

We did the Hokey Pokey, led by your truly, and it resulted in several missing limbs and a few sore muscles.\u00a0 Knowing the assumed outcome, I had an oxygen bottle available at the bar for a mere $5.00 per puff, which paid for our dinner that evening.<\/p>\n

We searched the floor for missing limbs afterward.<\/p><\/div>\n

We departed around 9:30 pm after dancing all night long!\u00a0 Great fun with amazing people!<\/p>\n
