It\u2019s Daylight Saving Time. The clock in my car will finally be correct!<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_74120\" style=\"width: 660px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-74120\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-74120\" src=\"http:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2023\/11\/2023-11-05-002-650x866.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"866\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2023\/11\/2023-11-05-002-650x866.jpg 650w, https:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2023\/11\/2023-11-05-002-113x150.jpg 113w, https:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2023\/11\/2023-11-05-002-768x1023.jpg 768w, https:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2023\/11\/2023-11-05-002.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-74120\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Dad bought this clock in the mid-1960s when he and I went to Europe!<\/p><\/div>\n<p>We looked for the key at the bottom of the clock but found other goodies instead:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>A letter my father wrote to the clock store where he bought the clock in Switzerland requested some strings, and he even enclosed $2 to cover the cost, which was in 1968.<\/li>\n<li>A report card from Jeanette\u00a0 (my estranged daughter) when Sue and I put her through the last two years of college so she could have a good life; I haven&#8217;t talked to her in years for some reason only known to her.<\/li>\n<li>A picture of a dime store in Oklahoma in 1928 where my mother was working when she first met my father!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>After the clocks were set, we watched a movie called The Book Club (the post-COVID series), which was hilarious and kept Mary and me laughing for 90 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>The movie is about four best friends who take their book club to Italy for a fun girls&#8217; trip they never had.\u00a0 However, things go off the rails, and secrets are revealed, turning their relaxing vacation into a once-in-a-lifetime cross-country adventure.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"BOOK CLUB: THE NEXT CHAPTER - Official Trailer [HD] - Only In Theaters May 12\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/i9k213d5FU0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>We decided to take it easy in the afternoon.\u00a0 Mary helped me clean the workbench, and we did laundry together.<\/p>\n<p>Mary found her military uniforms, and we will get a picture of Captain C\u00f4t\u00e9 for the upcoming Starlighter&#8217;s Dance Club event, which is themed Veteran&#8217;s Day.\u00a0 We will miss it since we will be at sea with the kids!<\/p>\n<p>We watched another movie. &#8220;The Covenant&#8221;, and at 7:30 p.m., we went to the office to do paperwork before bed.<\/p>\n<p>The film, set in Afghanistan, centers on an Army Joint Terminal Attack Controller, or JTAC, named Sgt. John Kinley (Jake Gyllenhaal). While deployed, Kinley is introduced to an interpreter named Ahmed (Dal Salim), who says he enlisted because he needs the money.
