We have been busy with the garden! Removing summer plants can be a lot of work, but it’s great that it’s looking good now. It’s always satisfying to see the progress after putting in several hours of hard work. And it’s a good idea to finish everything before the next mid-November cruise. We will get the soil turned and ready for planting just before Halloween!<\/p>\n

Gardening requires lots of water\u2014most of it in the form of perspiration.<\/p>\n

Tearing out the summer garden was work!<\/p><\/div>\n

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.<\/p>\n

While cleaning out the garden, Mary found hidden veggies. She made a stuffed bell pepper dish with a green stir-fry.<\/p>\n

We are still finding veggies!<\/p><\/div>\n

We watched Hocus Pocus II and laughed all the way through the movie. I also treated her to a dose of Elvira, Mistress of the Night. Corny as ever but very funny. Elvira is the same age as Mary!<\/p>\n

Her movie comments are priceless.<\/p><\/div>\n

But in real life, she is Cassandra Petersen.<\/p>\n
