Bee Bopping Down The Lonely Road… We Took The Grey Path.<\/p><\/div>\n

As a responsible spouse, I continued to tidy the hotel room and prepare the vehicle for blastoff.\u00a0 After showering and dressing up, I was frightened when I encountered a spider on the floor with menacing fangs and an evil grin.\u00a0 Was it Basil Rathbone incarnate?\u00a0 It was not a humorous situation by any means.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Hungary, I went to the hotel restaurant, and after sitting at the counter for 15 minutes and being ignored, I returned to the room and finished packing.\u00a0 I’d rather dine with my bride anyway!<\/p>\n

Walking down the street, I grabbed an energy bar to tide me over.\u00a0 I waited for my bride to finish her last class, and we were ready.\u00a0 While waiting, I strolled through the gardens at the convention center.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Mary left her class at 11:45 a.m.\u00a0 We quickly set off for Dover, New Hampshire.\u00a0 After hitting the acceleration switch and transitioning to warp speed, we arrived four hours later.<\/p>\n

We took the longer coastal route since all freeways look the same.\u00a0 We stopped at 1:30 p.m.. at a Dunkin’ Donuts store, Colleen’s favorite, and grabbed some lunch and had a latte.<\/p>\n

We arrived at the Silver Fountain B&B at 5:00 p.m. Jon and Sarah would pick us up at 5:30 p.m.\u00a0 It was perfect timing.<\/p>\n

The Inn was excellent; there was an envelope on the front door with our name on it.\u00a0 It said, “Come on in, we are doing errands!”.\u00a0 \u00a0We went upstairs and opened our suite!\u00a0 Amazing, a page out of history!<\/p>\n

“Welcome home!!”<\/p><\/div>\n

The grounds were beautifully maintained and had a picturesque view.\u00a0 We had to carry our luggage up a flight of stairs.\u00a0 My luggage, which was the last one, was too heavy for me, so we waited for Jon, who carried it upstairs effortlessly.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We stayed in a suite of three rooms: a bathroom, a sitting room, and a bedroom.\u00a0 The bed was so tall that we needed stools to climb in.\u00a0 The decor was the turn of the century style.<\/p>\n

The sitting room or parlor was twice the size of the bedroom!<\/p><\/div>\n

They serve a full breakfast in the mornings.\u00a0 However, we will miss it tomorrow because Jon is picking us up at 8:00 a.m. and heading to the county fair.\u00a0 Why 8:00 a.m.?\u00a0 Jon works three blocks from the hotel and gets off at 8:00 a.m.<\/p>\n

Downstairs was a dining room and living room, plus a large kitchen.\u00a0 Everything in the house was brought up to code, including the electricity systems.<\/p>\n

Donna would love this place!<\/p><\/div>\n

Last night’s dinner was delightful, with eighteen people in attendance.\u00a0 The children’s laughter filled the room with joy.\u00a0 Our family was seated at a long table.\u00a0 We sat at one end, along with Cassie, Jackie, and their respective families.\u00a0 We wanted to talk to them since they all work during the week.<\/p>\n

Seeing \u00a0Calhan, Logann, Emerson, and now Ashton was heartwarming, making us recall being that age.<\/p>\n

It was a pleasure to meet the two grandsons-in-law, who added a touch of humor to the evening.\u00a0 We laughed and giggled for two hours.\u00a0 Mary joined right in, sharing stories about growing up.<\/p>\n

The food was delicious, and the service was fantastic.<\/p><\/div>\n

The great-granddaughters were fascinated to finally meet their great-grandparents, whom they had only seen in pictures.\u00a0 I remember my great-grandmother coming to live with us when I was that age, Granny B (B for Beaty).\u00a0 Those memories are vivid with me after seventy years!<\/p>\n

If everything goes as planned, Mary and I will be great-great-grandparents in another twelve years.<\/p>\n

They are pretty good eaters!<\/p><\/div>\n

Despite the noise, Jackie’s six-month-old baby slept soundly.\u00a0 It seems to run in the family, as I can fall asleep almost anywhere.<\/p>\n

Too cute!<\/p><\/div>\n

After dinner, Jon drove us back to the hotel, where we slept.\u00a0 It was a great day!<\/p>\n
