While wandering through the garden, we had a delightful surprise – Mr. Hummingbird came to visit us! Although he is difficult to spot, he perched himself for a few seconds, and I quickly grabbed my trusty iPhone to capture some shots.<\/p>\n

We had a doctor’s appointment at St. Joseph’s. Afterward, we decided to visit the Z’s and see how they were doing. They are doing just fine!<\/p>\n

We picked some fruit at the Z’s as they were about to get “overripe.” The fruit was delicious.<\/p>\n

A vegan told me, “People who sell meat are disgusting!” I said, “People who sell fruits and vegetables are grocer.”<\/p>\n

After arriving home, we decorated with Halloween items before heading to the lodge at 5:30 for dinner and dancing. Bob and Robin joined us, as did Brenda and Irene!<\/p>\n

The Lodge had a 1970s band this evening.<\/p><\/div>\n

We discussed the Halloween party at the Elks and what we would dress up as.\u00a0 Since Nick enjoys Batman so much, we decided to go with the Batman theme.\u00a0 We picked out our characters and ordered the costumes online!<\/p>\n

The Penguin<\/strong> is a Gotham City mobster who fancies himself the number one “Gentleman of Crime.” He is most often seen wearing a monocle, top hat, and morning suit while carrying his signature umbrella. The character appears most times as a short, fat man with a long nose. Penguin uses high-tech umbrellas as different tools. His umbrellas have been used as guns, gas, swords\/knives, a mini-helicopter, and many other unconventional tools. The Penguin owns and runs a nightclub called the Iceberg Lounge, which provides a cover for his criminal activity.<\/p>\n

Poison Ivy<\/strong> is another female Batman character who wasn\u2019t born with her powers. A former Gotham City Botanist, Poison Ivy was transformed after a laboratory accident. Obsessed with plants, flowers, and all things nature, Poison Ivy is Gotham\u2019s most famous eco-terrorist. One of the many female characters who uses her hyper-sexual charms to her advantage, she is also a fearless tactician and a thorn in Batman\u2019s side.<\/p>\n

Having these two individuals present can enhance the enjoyment of any social gathering.<\/p>\n

Branda and Irene had a good time.<\/p><\/div>\n

Just little ol’ us having a wonderful time with family and friends.<\/p>\n

The band was average for a 1970s-1980s group, but their music wasn’t our style. Additionally, their sound was too loud for our taste.<\/p>\n

On our way home, we stopped at Ace’s and played music for the crowds. We ran into Skylar again and bought him a beer.<\/p>\n
