“Come on, guys, we have work to do!”<\/p><\/div>\n

The Home Depot grow leaf product is effective.\u00a0 The hibiscus is coming back and looking beautiful.\u00a0 Applying it to other plants today is a great idea.\u00a0 Hopefully, they will also thrive and look great.<\/p>\n

The red was brilliant today!<\/p><\/div>\n

We cleared out the dead plants and spotted Bachelor Buttons growing near the tower.<\/p>\n

Did You Know?\u00a0 Bachelor’s Button flowers are native to Europe and Western Asia and have grown wild since ancient times.\u00a0 The flowers were spread in the Early Ages to Northern Africa, where they were extensively used in Ancient Egypt and were introduced to the British Isles sometime in the Iron Age.<\/p>\n

The grapefruit tree is doing well in its new location, and we’re expecting a good harvest this year.\u00a0 We might even transplant it to the South 40 if it thrives.<\/p>\n

The Scarlet Runner Beans caused the support to lean northward.\u00a0 I’ll create a new support today.<\/p>\n

Indeterminate tomatoes are a favorite among gardeners because they produce fruit throughout the season.\u00a0 Enjoying the fruits of your labor for an extended period is always satisfying.<\/p>\n

The garden is still going strong.<\/p><\/div>\n

The cucumbers have been growing for four months in various locations. This little guy wants to be a climber. We should have cucumbers for another month!<\/p>\n

More cucumbers are on the way!<\/p><\/div>\n

Next week, when it heats up again, we’ll bring this little guy inside to join us for dinner. The watermelon looks fantastic!<\/p>\n

Watermelon anyone?<\/p><\/div>\n

It is 9:00 am, and it is time to go inside and continue working in the office.\u00a0 Today, we will be organizing the office.\u00a0 Our yard is quite spacious, and instead of spending our time in front of the TV, we prefer to be active and exercise all day long.\u00a0 When we work in the yard, we quickly reach our goal of taking 7,000 steps a day, which helps us stay healthy.<\/p>\n

9:00 am, and all is well<\/p><\/div>\n

We went indoors for a bit and watched an episode of Suits.\u00a0 Mary felt under the weather, so I went to Subway and picked up dinner.\u00a0 Once we were done eating, we returned to the garden and worked for another 45 minutes before deciding to call it a day.<\/p>\n

We went back outside after it cooled down and walked into a restaurant.\u00a0 Mr. Spidy was having his afternoon meal.\u00a0 We jumped back and let him finish!<\/p>\n

Oh my goodness, you won’t believe what just happened!\u00a0 We almost stumbled upon Mr. Spidy during his afternoon feast!<\/p><\/div>\n

The garden is getting thinned out because as plants stop producing or dying, we trim them and toss them into the wheelbarrow for a trip to the trash can.\u00a0 The overheads look bare, but we will leave them until next year.<\/p>\n

We are thinning things out little by little.<\/p><\/div>\n

Mary makes the old man work and me wear gloves to protect my hands.\u00a0 I’m getting sequined gloves to look like Michael Jackson!<\/p>\n

She has me working hard.<\/p><\/div>\n

Once the wheelbarrows are filled, it’s off to the 90-gallon trash cans for a dump!<\/p>\n

With sweat on our brows, we rallied to fill two additional wheelbarrows with the trimmings.<\/p><\/div>\n

What do you get when you cross a four-leaf clover with poison ivy?\u00a0 A rash of good luck.<\/p>\n

As it got dark, we returned inside and went to work in the office!\u00a0 We crashed about 9:30 pm, as tomorrow is a new day!<\/p>\n
