…and I don’t! Lost a daughter but gained peace and quiet!<\/p><\/div>\n

When I got home at 6:00 am after sleeping at the clinic all night, I laid down next to Mary for a few minutes. However, I was wide awake, so I used the computer to complete my Daily Diary.<\/p>\n

I went to buy a new mattress the other day. I wasn’t sure about it, so the salesman told me to go away and sleep on it.<\/p>\n

It was dark when I departed the testing facility.<\/p><\/div>\n

I had breakfast with Colleen and Mary at the Original Pancake House today while the cleaning staff made our house look beautiful again. We decided to share the meal, and it ended up being enough for all of us.<\/p>\n

We then dropped by Dianne’s, and Mary gave her the pillow we found in San Jose.<\/p>\n

The perfect pillow!<\/p><\/div>\n

Dianne was pleased with the pillow, strawberries, and corn we gave her. We had a short conversation and then went to meet Bob and Bill at the lodge.<\/p>\n

I dreamt that I was eating a giant marshmallow last night. When I woke up, my pillow was gone.<\/p>\n

On a clear day, Catalina would be in the background.<\/p><\/div>\n

At 11:45 am, we reached the lodge and conversed with Bob for a while until Bill showed up. Since we had already had our meal, we only had a small portion of corn chowder and a single beverage\u00a0 (which happened to come in a gallon container!)<\/p>\n

Need we say more?<\/p><\/div>\n

Later, we returned home to check on our garden. Despite the intense 90-degree heat outside, everything seemed to be in good shape. I had covered the garden security camera with a shade to shield it from the hot sun, and it successfully stayed on throughout the day.<\/p>\n

We began dinner at 4:00 pm by quickly picking some vegetables from the garden. We made various versions of kale chips, stuffed zucchini, and had a cucumber and yogurt salad. Life is good!<\/p>\n

Busy in the kitchen!<\/p><\/div>\n

The weather was pleasant, so we decided to eat on the patio. While I was clearing the dining area and spraying for bugs, Mary noticed the can of flying insect spray and picked it up to read the label. “Is this good for wasps?” she inquired. “No,” I replied. “It actually kills them.”<\/p>\n

We loved our new furniture.<\/p><\/div>\n
