Mary laughed; I still don’t get it!<\/p><\/div>\n

We worked in the garden for about two hours after having our coffee.\u00a0 Mary picked a mess of tomatoes and corn for the gang at the Elks.\u00a0 Having friends has some very positive benefits; we do not waste any of the food items we grow in the garden! Seeing them once a week at the Elks is always a special treat!<\/p>\n

We invited our friend from Villa Park to go, but we knew she would have some lame excuse and not call, so we departed to the doggy groomer early, not waiting for the call to join us.\u00a0 \u00a0So sad to see someone suffer from agoraphobia and ruin their life by locking themselves up in a house and avoiding seeing friends and living a normal life.\u00a0 \u00a0Oh well!<\/p>\n

We dropped Scout at the groomers.\u00a0 He got his ears washed and also went in for a smelling test!<\/p>\n

Scout got his nose checked today!<\/p><\/div>\n

We stopped by the cleaners to get some shirts done and then to the Lodge, where we brought a mess of veggies for the gang.\u00a0 We are coming upon the Hawaiian journey, so I must get the tuxedos ready to go!<\/p>\n

The Green Grocers have arrived!<\/p><\/div>\n

George brought us a large bag of apples from his tree, and we plan to make something with apples tomorrow.\u00a0 I was wondering who is an apple’s favorite relative then it struck me, Granny!<\/p>\n

Many tomatoes to share.<\/p><\/div>\n

How do you fix a sliced tomato? Use tomato paste.<\/p>\n

We departed for home at about 1:30 pm and called to see if Scout was ready, but he was not.\u00a0 We went home and puttered around for a while.\u00a0 When it was time to get the baby, we went to Home Depot first and got the supplies needed to auto-water the southernmost garden area.<\/p>\n

We picked up Scout, and he was so proud of his new doo he pranced around the house several times, showing it off.<\/p>\n

Mary went to the front yard and deadheaded the flowers.\u00a0 I joined her, and we finished the work by 5:00 pm.\u00a0 \u00a0 We went inside and set up the portable (roo around) TV in the kitchen and watched a movie.<\/p>\n

Back to work after lunch!<\/p><\/div>\n

While Mary worked in the backyard, I put soaker hoses in the beds on the south forty.\u00a0 They will now be watered automatically when we go on our Hawaiian adventure.\u00a0 The melons are looking great, and we are getting growth on the lentils as well as the cucumbers, so the extra water will certainly help!<\/p>\n

Now the beds are on watering timers!<\/p><\/div>\n

We were tired, so we came inside to make dinner but we got involved with a Chuck Norris movie, a spaghetti-western, and missed dinnertime.<\/p>\n

The movie was an action film called Lone Wolf McQuade with Chuck Norris.\u00a0 Summary: After helping the local police with some horse thieves, a Texas Ranger also aims at a drug lord with the arms trade.\u00a0 They’re interested in the same woman and both into martial arts.<\/p>\n
