No rain this morning; a seismic change must have occurred.\u00a0 However, it was cold, so we had our coffee before galloping through the garden.\u00a0 The garden looked quite lovely, and we gave it a final touch by removing a few weeds and trimming the dead leaves on the onions, tomatoes, and garlic.<\/p>\n

Then it came to me!\u00a0 What do you call a woman who puts her credit card statements straight in the fire?\u00a0 Bernadette.<\/p>\n

The firepit is just right, providing heat not only to us but to the cups of coffee.<\/p>\n

Using my thermometer, I checked my internal temperature and is was 104 degrees so it was time to get up and walk!<\/p>\n

The far (Southern for fire) was providing us heat!<\/p><\/div>\n

Scout enjoys the mornings with Mom and Dad!\u00a0 He also was getting hot, and we worried whether or not he had a fever.\u00a0 What do you give a dog with a fever?\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Mustard! Its the best thing for a hot dog.<\/span><\/p>\n

Even Scout likes the far.<\/p><\/div>\n

After the veggie garden meander, we went to the flower garden along the west wall and spotted the roses, which looked fascinating.\u00a0 Mother Nature is quite an artist!<\/p>\n

The roses were looking great this morning.<\/p><\/div>\n

Returning to the patio, we continued the morning conversation after stopping at the “Fruit Salad Tree”.\u00a0 We spotted a peach (or Nectarine) that must be picked in the next few days.\u00a0 Next year this tree ought to be amazing.<\/p>\n

T-3 days and we pick the fruit!<\/p><\/div>\n

Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it’s off to work we go.\u00a0 Mary deadheaded a mess of flowers while I worked on the hose reels and made plans for Carlos’s visit.\u00a0 We are going to move the lemon-limey tree to a new home and I plan to split the large veggie bed into two watering zones.<\/p>\n

Mary now pays strict attention to what she is cutting after this morning.\u00a0 I came out of the garage when I heard her scream!\u00a0 Oops!!<\/p>\n
