What a day!\u00a0 Paul was at 41 going into the ninth hole… could not miss and then the God of Golf found out and he planted two into the H2O!\u00a0 Ended up with a 48! Poo!\u00a0 The rest of the day was “OK”\u00a0\u00a0 We had our own happy hour and then rested the rest of the evening.\u00a0 We watched movies including…<\/p>\n

“Hachi, A Dog’s Tale”<\/a> was a tear jerker for sure. Summary: A drama based on the true story of a college professor’s bond with the abandoned dog he takes into his home. An American adaptation of a Japanese tale about a loyal dog named Hachiko. This very special friend would accompany his master to the train station every day and return each afternoon to greet him after work. Sadly his master departs one day, passes away and never returns to the station. Hachiko faithfully returns to the same spot at the station the very next day, and every day for the next nine years to wait for his beloved master. During his daily visits, Hachiko touches the lives of many who work near and commute through the town square. He teaches the local people love, compassion and above all unyielding loyalty. Today, a bronze statue of Hachiko sits in his waiting spot outside the Shibuya station in Japan as a permanent reminder of his devotion and love.<\/p>\n

We then saw an excellent repeat entitled “Wild Hearts<\/a>” which is a July 2006 Hallmark TV movie. Summary: A widowed Los Angeles police detective inherits his family mustang ranch in Montana and returns with his reluctant daughter. He takes a job as sheriff and soon must contend with a series of events that cause him to come to terms with his past.\u00a0 But all is well as the daughter falls in love, loves the ranch, and is a natural animal lover.<\/p>\n
