Coffee by the fire pit; Spring has arrived!<\/p><\/div>\n

The view from the firepit is perfect.\u00a0 No houses around us, and all is quiet!\u00a0 Too bad the pool is at 60 degrees!\u00a0 We always have the built-in spa or the swim spa should we need hot water!<\/p>\n

I got banned from the local swimming pool once.\u00a0\u00a0They banned me for “peeing in the pool.”\u00a0 I tried defending myself by saying *everybody* pees in the pool, but according to them, no one does it from the diving board.<\/p>\n

Five minutes and the heat is amazing!<\/p><\/div>\n

Scout always comes out to walk the garden with us; he is in charge of chasing away the elephants and is excellent at this task.\u00a0 We have lived in the house for almost two years now; we have not seen evidence of a single elephant in the yard!<\/p>\n

Scout-a-puss enjoys the heat also!\u00a0 He likes his coffee with a straw!<\/p><\/div>\n

Yes, it is me, old double-ugly!\u00a0 I act as a backup in case an elephant gets through Scout’s protective activities.\u00a0 One look at me and the elephant would jump over the fence and run screaming down the middle of the street!<\/p>\n

Our drip system dripped today, which was good as the weather was warm.\u00a0 We have every plant in the entire yard on drip systems; there are eighteen zones and three internet-connected controllers in the backyard.<\/p>\n

Water is only a fingertip away!<\/p><\/div>\n

Our citrus trees are going crazy; the blossoms are very thick this year!\u00a0 We will have lemons and limes all summer long.<\/p>\n

An amazing day!<\/p><\/div>\n

When we returned to the inside of the house, I turned off the firepit, and it was a little over 650 degrees, according to my IR heat measurement gun.\u00a0 We can’t wait until it gets warmer, and we have the kids over for a marshmallow roast!\u00a0 Remy and Lilly are the reigning champions, with Robin and Nick a close second.<\/p>\n

I just got over my addiction to chocolate, marshmallows, and nuts.\u00a0 It was not easy, it was a Rocky Road.<\/h3>\n

The lava radiates heat for 30 minutes after the flames go out!<\/p><\/div>\n

It’s Thursday, boys, and girls, meaning we are due at the Elks at noon sharp!\u00a0 The gang was there, although we missed Bill Capps and Iris!\u00a0 Bob C. has the same hearing aids as Mary and I, so Mary was getting some lessons from a pro.\u00a0 She learned some new tricks today!<\/p>\n

We picked up Scout from his hairdresser, and he looked so good; he wanted to be pretty for the Easter events, which start on Saturday!<\/p>\n

We dropped him off at the house and then proceeded to go to Home Depot to get some hardware for the berry vines.\u00a0 We wanted to put up wire for the berries to hang on but to make them taunt, a turnbuckle was needed.\u00a0 We got two large ones for the major supports and four smaller ones for the lower wires.<\/p>\n

Once the turnbuckles were drawn up tight, we could play the one-string guitar quite easily.\u00a0 While I was singing, I wondered why all the birds were exiting the local area.\u00a0 Can my singing be that bad?<\/p>\n

We have twenty blackberries, boysenberries, olallieberries, and raspberries planted in the bed so far.\u00a0 They are starting to come alive after all the cold we have had,<\/p>\n
