As soon as I got up, I checked the rain gauge. In the past two days, we have received 2.75 inches of new rain! The forecast calls for another 1\/4″ of rain today with thunderstorms at 11:00 am. It’s another good day to stay inside!<\/p>\n

Ain’t it the truth!!<\/p><\/div>\n

It rained most of the night; we got 3.75″ of the wet stuff in the past two days.\u00a0 We attempted to put Scout out to widdle but alas, all we got was an iced cold stare.<\/p>\n

Oh dear, what do we do?<\/p><\/div>\n

We checked the calendar, and we have PT at 9:00 am, and we have to drop off the heart monitor this afternoon at the cardiologist’s office.\u00a0 Other than that, except for a quick stop at Ralphs, we are free.\u00a0 Then we decided we would go to the Elks got lunch and see Bill Capps and Dr. Zaitz.<\/p>\n

PT was easy; Mary went inside and I took a nap in the car.\u00a0 We returned home and waited until 11:30 am to depart for the Elks. It was raining again but not too hard; The Silver Fox did not need the blowup arm balloons to make it to the lodge.<\/p>\n

We made a quick stop at Jan’s to drop off some foodies but we only stayed about fifteen minutes. Just before leaving, we snapped a picture without rain!<\/p>\n

Last week, Ronnie “slapped us” with a coin meaning if you do not have one in return, you get to buy him a drink!\u00a0 Well, not to be outdone, Mary and I bought ten such slapping coins from the Elks.\u00a0 On our way out the door, I gave a coin to bill and Bob and we went behind Ronnie, said “goodbye” and simultaneously (at the same time for those of you in Rio Lindo) we hit the table with four coins.<\/p>\n

Ronnie was flabbergasted, astounded, amazed, surprised, startled, shocked, taken aback, taken by surprise, dumbfounded, stricken, rendered speechless, stunned, staggered, stopped in his tracks, confounded, dazed, overcome, and overwhelmed!\u00a0 We had a lot of fun at Ronnie’s expense.<\/p>\n

He instantly knew who was behind this attack; little old me?!<\/p>\n

We are NOT done with him yet, we are going to the local Home Depot and will pick up a Venus Flytrap to give him tomorrow!\u00a0 We are evil!<\/p>\n

M-m-m-m-m Ronnie tastes good!!<\/p><\/div>\n

Do Venus flytraps just eat flies? The Venus flytrap gets some of its nutrients from the soil, but to supplement its diet, the plant eats insects and arachnids. In the car, we were heading to the doctor’s office to drop off the heart monitor when I remembered we did not have the charger or canvas bag it came in; change of plans, we headed home.\u00a0 It was a “fly-by”; I got the rest of the monitor, and a bottle of water, and let Scout inside.\u00a0 Zoom, we were off to Saint Joe’s.<\/p>\n

On the way home, we stopped at Ralph’s market to pick up some indispensable supplies and thought since we were so close to Jan’s we should call and get her shopping list.\u00a0 Mozzarella cheese, potato chips, and sushi was delivered within minutes.<\/p>\n

We visited Jan for a good hour; I had three beers and was tipsy on the way home!\u00a0 Well, maybe not tipsy; perhaps the word was full! Burp!!<\/p>\n

Arriving home, I adjusted the front of the house lights to match the windows; a nice purple!<\/p>\n

It was eight o’clock when the Silver Fox pulled into his nice warm bed. Mary took Scout outside and he ran between raindrops watering the lawn as he went. I unloaded the groceries and brought them to the kitchen.
