Hey! I aim to please!<\/p><\/div>\n

We stayed at home the entire day although we were supposed to go to Seal Beach for lunch;\u00a0 we were waived off by Robin.\u00a0 There was a major accident on the 91, and Robin turned around and decided to work from home.\u00a0 It would have neem fun, but the weather seemed a little frightful.<\/p>\n

There was a small break in the rain, so we wandered out to the garden, and Mary discovered her sweetpeas were finally blooming.<\/p>\n

Mary and I perfected our garden flower beds through a process of trowel and error.<\/p>\n

She was so happy to see them finally bloom! A little snip here and a little snip there!<\/p><\/div>\n

In about a week, the entire south end of the wide garden will be loaded with sweet peas.\u00a0 Sweet peas are native to Sicily, Cyprus, and Southern Italy. A Sicilian monk is said to have sent the first sweet pea seeds to England in the 17th century. They became popular in the late-Victorian era after being cultivated by Henry Eckford.<\/p>\n

Sweet peas are vining plants that climb vigorously — six to eight feet over fences and other supports. The flowers are pink, white, red, lavender, purple, and near blue.<\/p>\n

It began to rain, so we zipped into the house, where they got a drink of water!<\/p><\/div>\n

We watched movies off and on all day, especially cowboy movies.\u00a0 Later, we switched to funny movies like “Wackiest Ship In the Army”\u00a0 and “Operation Petticoat.”<\/p>\n

We took down St. Patrick’s Day decorations and will probably do Easter tomorrow.\u00a0 We traded green for pink, purple, and yellow.<\/p>\n

Mary fixed a great dinner of Corned Beef & Cabbage and threw in some Beef Stroganoff from the Elks.\u00a0 To add to the mixture, she made potato pancakes out of the scalloped potatoes from yesterday.\u00a0 Mary had a glass of wine, and I did my beer. Heineken Zero is my favorite.<\/p>\n

Around 8:00 PM, the sky opened up, and I thought for sure we had better start looking for the Ark.\u00a0 We got two inches of rain in the past 24 hours, but this cloudburst was amazing.\u00a0 It was pounding on the roof. We could hardly hear the TV.<\/p>\n

I went outside and took a short video!\u00a0 The wind was whistling, and tarps were flapping.\u00a0 In 60 seconds, I came bad inside and MAry had a robe ready for me1<\/p>\n
