{"id":67766,"date":"2023-03-06T01:57:31","date_gmt":"2023-03-06T08:57:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/?p=67766"},"modified":"2023-03-06T05:30:07","modified_gmt":"2023-03-06T12:30:07","slug":"we-did-zip","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/?p=67766","title":{"rendered":"We Did Zip!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today was Sunday, and Mary was down for the count.\u00a0 The cold has her in his grips; she stayed in bed all day, and I got to be the nurse!\u00a0 \u00a0I slept in Robin&#8217;s Nest as we attempted to keep me from catching whatever she had.\u00a0 It is NOT COVID; that was the first thing we tried.<\/p>\n<p>I waited on her all day which I was honored to do after all she had been through with me.<\/p>\n<p>I worked in the office straightening up things and plan tomorrow to get the tax goodies ready and finish off some long-awaited filing.<\/p>\n<p>Scout and I walked the garden to inspect the progress, and he was quite happy with everything.\u00a0 We watered the berries with acid-based fertilizer; berries love acidic soil.\u00a0 I checked Mary&#8217;s babies, and we are actually getting some growth on several of the transplants.<\/p>\n<p>I looked online to see if I could get a nurses hat or a candy-stripper outfit to ware, but alas, they had nothing in my size, which probably was a good thing1<\/p>\n<p>Off to the pharmacy, I went.\u00a0 Me and The Silver Fox.\u00a0 I passed by the local &#8220;lake&#8221; and it was full to the brim.\u00a0 It began to rain again as I was out and about.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_67767\" style=\"width: 660px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-67767\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-67767\" src=\"http:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2023\/03\/2020-03-05-001-650x1027.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"1027\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2023\/03\/2020-03-05-001-650x1027.png 650w, https:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2023\/03\/2020-03-05-001-95x150.png 95w, https:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2023\/03\/2020-03-05-001-768x1213.png 768w, https:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2023\/03\/2020-03-05-001-972x1536.png 972w, https:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2023\/03\/2020-03-05-001.png 1284w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-67767\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Mary has lived in this area for thirty years and has never seen it so full! The blue dot is us.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>For dinner, I outdid myself by whipping up another gourmet meal of macaroni and cheese from scratch.\u00a0 I scratched myself, attempting to open the box; does that count?\u00a0 To make it more delicious, I carefully sliced up a weenie making the julienne cut at exactly 37.35 degrees!\u00a0 Not to be outdone, I popped two potatoes into the cooking pad, brought them to a nice hot temperature, slit them open, and lovingly added sour cream, butter, and a garnish of grated rat cheese!\u00a0 A meal fit for a queen!<\/p>\n<p>Tea was the order of the day; no wine since last week and we are not missing it.<\/p>\n<p>I must admit I had help from Trade Joe&#8217;s chef and the microwave!<\/p>\n<div class=\"didYouKnow\"><strong>Did You Know?<\/strong> During the end of the Great Depression, macaroni and cheese became a popular food item due to its low cost. It was billed as \u201cthe housewife\u2019s best friend, a nourishing one pot meal\u201d and sold 8 million boxes when it was released by Kraft Foods in 1937.
