Just saying…<\/p><\/div>\n

We were up around 7:00 am and turned on the coffee pot.\u00a0 It is new, and I had a problem figuring it out.\u00a0 The first cup of coffee I made was hot water.\u00a0 What is going on?<\/p>\n

Then I noticed three black pieces of plastic on the sink!\u00a0 Our girl, Domi, cleaned the coffee maker and forgot to put it back together.\u00a0 After a few minutes, I returned the pieces to where they belonged, and we got coffee instead of hot water.\u00a0 I love it when the coffee kicks in, and I realize what an adorable badass I would be today.<\/p>\n

We gave Scout his medications this morning; he had more than us!<\/p>\n

Wow!\u00a0 We roll his pills in a cheese log, and he gladly woofs them down!<\/p><\/div>\n

We departed for Mary’s PT at 8:30 am, and the weather was good but cold; it was 52 degrees when we arrived.\u00a0 I dropped her off and when to the local burger place and had a coffee, and read some legal stuff as I am changing my will and other legal goodies, bringing them up to date.\u00a0 I picked up Dr. Mary about an hour later, and we went by CVS to get some photos we had made for Jan.<\/p>\n

We were going to drop by Home Depot, but it was too cold.\u00a0 We dropped off the pictures at Jan’s front entrance and sped home to get warm and keep Mary out of the weather.<\/p>\n

When our friend retired from a lifetime as a photographer, he moved to an Old Focus Home.<\/p>\n

Visiting Jan in January.<\/p><\/div>\n

The weather looked great, but looming grey clouds were in the distance.\u00a0 At about noon, the wind started howling, and we turned up the heat and stayed inside.\u00a0 The whirlygigs in the garden were going crazy; any faster, they would have taken off!<\/p>\n

Mary made some chicken soup from scratch; that’s her medication for a pending cold!\u00a0 We sat at the kitchen table and watched movies all afternoon and early evening.<\/p>\n

I was sitting on the sofa watching TV when I heard my wife’s lovely voice from the kitchen.<\/p>\n

“What would you like for dinner, my Love. . . Beef, salmon, or lamb?”<\/p>\n

I said, “Thank you for asking!”<\/p>\n

She replied, “You’re having chicken soup, dummy!\u00a0 I was talking to Scout.”<\/p>\n

We called Colleen, and a few minutes later, Joe, our son, called.\u00a0 We did a three-way.\u00a0 Joe’s home heater died, so naturally, Collen and I ganged up on him, sending him pictures of fires, etc.\u00a0 The teasing goes on!<\/p>\n

New ways to keep warm!<\/p><\/div>\n

An hour later, Joe sent us a message indicating how he had several ways to turn off the power to our house.<\/p>\n

We finished the evening with a movie and dining on fantastic checked soup.\u00a0 We crashed by 8:00 pm.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
