Works all the time!<\/p><\/div>\n

We are unsure what “messing around” means, but we did it this morning. We walked the garden, and Mary talked to her transplanted babies (the non-producing strawberries). I transplanted about fifteen plants from the old dirt into the new, hoping they recognized the difference.<\/p>\n

The flowers are growing well also.<\/p><\/div>\n

The cabbage is small, but that was due to the soil not being ready when we planted them.<\/p>\n

We started growing some fungi in our garden, but it failed miserably. I guess there is a mushroom for improvement.<\/p>\n

I am getting ready for St. Patricks Day.<\/p><\/div>\n

This soil is ready after adding bags of steer manure and complex fertilizer.<\/p>\n

The babies are growing.<\/p><\/div>\n

Mary fixed a super breakfast, my favorite, bacon and eggs. The doorbell went off, and Robin and Bob were dropping by and bringing a bottle of champagne. They were worried about tomorrow and wanted to ensure I was OK. They are very thoughtful!<\/p>\n

We visited with them for 90 minutes before they had to leave to go car shopping.<\/p>\n

The four of us did severe damage to two bottles of champagne, and there was some remaining, so we saved that for later this evening.<\/p>\n

They got the garden tour and were amazed at the progress we made<\/p>\n

At 5:00 PM, we got ready t go Elking.\u00a0 Tonight we will be with Iris and Will, the Branders, and Mike and Bridgette, and we hope the kids stop by for dinner. The DJ Ronnie is on tonight and knows what the dancers like. He is a lovely man and a good friend.<\/p>\n

We danced for two hours or more before heading home.<\/p>\n

On the way home, we stopped at Aces Bar and Grill, had a glass of wine, and talked to some locals. When we departed, we were hungry, so we stopped at Del Taco and ordered an Epic Burrito with chicken. Loaded with choice freshly grilled, marinated chicken, freshly grilled carne asada, or Beyond Meat\u00ae, slow-cooked beans made from scratch, cilantro lime rice, fresh house-made guacamole, and fresh house-made pico de gallo, all in a warm, oversized flour tortilla.<\/p>\n

Somehow I only got one bite! She said it was because I was driving.<\/p><\/div>\n

Maybe I didn’t get my half because I asked Mary, “What do ducks like in their burrito?” I quickly answered, ” Quack-amole.”.<\/p>\n

When we got home Scout and I wandered into the backyard. I had to check for elephants because it was Scout’s job to chase them elephants away. He did good!!<\/p>\n
