I bounced several times before coming to rest under a No Parking sign!\u00a0 I must turn down her hearing aids!<\/p>\n

Mary presented me with a valentine’s day card (you ONLY get to see the outside; the inside gets a little mushy!)<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We continued our work in the office from 6:00 AM until it was time to clean up and take Scout to the Beauty Salon.\u00a0 He is getting a baff with special anti-itching soaps!<\/p>\n

We did stop for a short walk in the garden.<\/p>\n

We walked the garden first thing!<\/p><\/div>\n

We decided to put him in the van as it is easier to get in and out of, er thought.\u00a0 We dropped him off, but he went nose-first into the parking lot on his way out of the van.\u00a0 Poor little guy busted a lip and was bleeding; we were worried.\u00a0 But this is Scout, so he didn’t say a thing.<\/p>\n

He is amazing<\/p><\/div>\n

He was in good hands, and the folks at “The Clip Joint” are charming and we knew he would be fine.<\/p>\n

We drove two blocks and went to The Original Pancake House for breakfast and shared what we thought was a veggie omelet, and they were huge and weighed in at 1000 calories hence the sharing.\u00a0 It was a delightful breakfast with lots of coffee, as the outside temperature was 53 degrees!<\/p>\n

She ordered; we are happy!<\/p><\/div>\n

Hot sauce is my favorite.\u00a0 What’s the best thing to give a dog with a fever?\u00a0 Tomato sauce and mustard it’s the best thing for a hot dog!<\/p>\n

I love my hot sauce; the hotter, the better!<\/p><\/div>\n

I told Mary, “If you are in a freezing room and want to stay warm and comfortable, you should always stick to the corners because they are all 90 degrees.”<\/p>\n

We returned home to warm up, and Mary needed some ice on her arm (she has been doing too much!)<\/p>\n

I took the left-hand seat out of the van so Scout could get in easier, and when we picked him up, he just popped in with ease.\u00a0 He was a happy baby and pranced around the back of the van, ensuring all the cars next to us saw his beautiful new coat.<\/p>\n

We messed around all afternoon and got ready to go to Renata’s (1534, 227 E Chapman Ave, Orange, CA)\u00a0 at 6:00 PM to celebrate Bob and Donna’s Valentine’s Day and their anniversary.\u00a0 Married 44 years, OMG!!\u00a0 Mary and I are coming up two years in July.<\/p>\n

Donna and Bob are GREAT friends!\u00a0 They met Mary when I did back in 2000.<\/p><\/div>\n

The cake was from Rockwell’s, and those are real roses!\u00a0 I had to stop Bob from swatting the bees as he could have hit the cake by accident.<\/p>\n

\"\"

The roses on the cake were real.<\/p><\/div>\n

It was so cold that we sat in the corner; yes, the corner was 90 degrees!\u00a0 Mary was triple-wrapped this evening, and she knew it would be cold sitting on the patio!<\/p>\n

Just us.<\/p><\/div>\n

Mary did the chicken piccata, which she enjoyed.\u00a0 Their sauces are excellent.\u00a0 Bob and I did their Penne Sinatra, which is chicken, mushroom, and spinach in a blush sauce!<\/p>\n

Love those capers<\/p><\/div>\n

Did I say we laughed?\u00a0 We decided tonight that we are not going to Catalina this year but instead to go to wine country for the weekend.\u00a0 With the four of us, it should be an absolute hoot!<\/p>\n

We did giggle and laughed for hours.<\/p><\/div>\n

After departing Renatas’s, we drove up Chapman, and The Silver Fox did an abrupt turn right into the Aces Bar and Grill parking lot!\u00a0 I guess he was on automatic.\u00a0 Only two other couples were there, and we did our thing, hijacked the jukebox, and played our favorites.\u00a0 We had a single glass of wine, visited with our favorite bartender, and then went home, which is 2.4 miles away.<\/p>\n

We stopped at the bar.<\/p><\/div>\n

They have a billion TV’s in that place, but the volume levels are kept pretty low.<\/p>\n

We hijacked the jukebox again!<\/p><\/div>\n
