We were up early as Scout needed to do his thing, and then we went back to bed for another hour, but at 7:00 AM and it was time for coffee; I use it to get my heart started!<\/p>\n
We have to be ready for the reupholster who s packing up our bedroom chairs between 9\u201311 AM this morning.\u00a0 This is exciting; we will have refinished chairs in a few weeks.\u00a0 I never thought I would be excited about furniture, but since Mary is, I am!<\/p>\n
We had our coffee and a morning walk in the garden.\u00a0 Life happens.\u00a0 Coffee helps.\u00a0 We often think our birthstone is a coffee bean!<\/p>\n

Today is going to be in the 80s, so we thought we should water the new trees; they we happy about that!\u00a0 I believe they blossomed on the spot!\u00a0 Even the new Santa Rosa plum tree had tiny blossoms on it.<\/p>\n
Why did the pine tree get in trouble?\u00a0 Because it was being knotty.<\/p>\n

Today was going to be “hot, so we watered the new trees.\u00a0 Mary has on her new green coat, perfect for morning gardening.<\/p><\/div>\n
We have four different apples on the same tree, and we should have apples all year long!\u00a0 One of the limbs has zero blossoms, which is likely because it is not its turn to come out and play.<\/p>\n

Did You Know?\u00a0 <\/strong>All apple trees are grafted because apples don’t come true from seed: if you want to ensure a cultivar, you have to take a cutting.<\/p>\n Grafting an apple tree can encourage qualities like disease and insect resistance, cold hardiness, and fruiting ability.\u00a0 You can even grow more than one kind of apple on the same tree by utilizing 4-in-1 grafting techniques.\u00a0 Grafting apple trees are also an excellent way to shape them.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Up close, the blossoms are quite healthy, and we will get fruit this year from the young tree; not a lot but sufficient for a lovely dessert!<\/p>\n Two of the apples are already blossoming.<\/p><\/div>\n What is apple fruit famous for?\u00a0 <\/strong>Apples are an incredibly nutritious fruit that offers multiple health benefits.\u00a0 They’re rich in fiber and antioxidants.\u00a0 Eating them is linked to a lower risk of many chronic conditions, including diabetes, heart disease, and cancer.\u00a0 Apples may also promote weight loss and improve gut and brain health.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The fruit trees in the hood are amazing.\u00a0 Thanks to our great neighbors, we have a constant supply of oranges, grapefruits, lemons, kumquats, and other fruit.<\/p>\n Lemonade anyone?<\/p><\/div>\n We headed for the Elks, and TheSilver Fox was almost on automatic.\u00a0 We say, Elks, the engine starts up, the garage door opens, and we are off in a blinding flash.\u00a0 Sometimes we even get a chance to get inside the car before it leaves.<\/p>\n Just before leaving, the cardiologist called and wanted to see us.\u00a0 They found a narrowing of an artery feeding the kidney, a likely cause of the high blood pressure.\u00a0 We made an appointment for surgery on the 24th to do a procedure that will investigate further and perhaps fix the issue with a stint.\u00a0 We were both quite happy.<\/p>\n Lunch was great, but we had to leave a little early to get out hearing aids.\u00a0 We arrived at the facility at 2:00 PM sharp, and by 4:00 PM, we walked out with new devices that were pretty amazing.<\/p>\n We wore them home, but they were challenging to fit in the car!<\/p><\/div>\n We stopped at Ralph’s and then visited Jan and had a drink before returning home.<\/p>\n We carefully set up charging stations for the new aids and then got ready to use the hot tub.\u00a0 The new devices are pretty impressive, but I am not sure they are a good idea for me!<\/p>\n This may not have been a good idea for Paul!<\/p><\/div>\n Mary had all sorts of things that needed fixing now!<\/p>\n We soaked for an hour and then watched “The Ultimate Legacy,” the third in the “Ultimate” series.<\/p>\n Summary: Following the highly-rated worldwide hits The Ultimate Gift and The Ultimate Life comes The Ultimate Legacy.\u00a0 The epic of Jason Stevens’ life carries on.\u00a0 This satisfying conclusion shows that if we teach, we change the world.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"http:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2023\/02\/2023-02-09-003-650x866.jpg\")
