Fact: Christmas wreaths are religious symbols.\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong>The Christmas wreath first originated as a symbol of Christ.\u00a0 The holly represents the crown of thorns Jesus wore at his crucifixion, and the red berries stand for the blood he shed.\u00a0 So when you see a wreath this holiday, you’ll remember the reason for the season.<\/em><\/p>\n

We learn something every day!<\/p><\/div>\n

Well, first thing this morning, we got messages from Joe and Vicky that the Alley Cats’ performance was horrible, horrific, horrendous, frightful, fearful, awful, terrible, shocking, appalling, hideous, grim, grisly, ghastly, harrowing, gruesome, heinous, vile, nightmarish, macabre, unspeakable, hair-raising, spine-chilling; loathsome, monstrous, abhorrent, detestable, hateful, execrable, abominable, atrocious, sickening, and nauseating!\u00a0 That made Mary happy since it was her opening event for the Christmas season.<\/p>\n

We knew something was up!<\/p><\/div>\n

Of source, we knew better, and someone put them up to telling Mary what didn’t happen; wonder who could that be??<\/p>\n

We didn’t even walk the garden as I had to beat it to Los Alamitos to meet with Dr. Rucker about my breathing.\u00a0 I also told him about the COVID scare.\u00a0 I got some steroids for the lungs to help me stop coughing, and I also got a PSA blood test; it was a good morning.<\/p>\n

While waiting in the doctor’s office, I saw Mary at the dining room table\u00a0 (courtesy of the security cameras) having breakfast, so I stopped at Sheldon’s At The Hospital and got a nice hamburger; I was allowed; I was 194.9\u00a0 pounds this morning.<\/p>\n

After stopping at CVS, I arrived home at 11:00 AM, just in time to start a movie and sit quietly.<\/p>\n

Mary fixed a nice lunch, and we both just took it easy.\u00a0 Mary when through an old box filled with memories, and I wrestled with the Christmas light instruction manual.<\/p>\n

At 3:30 PM, we attempted to take naps.\u00a0 We lasted about thirty minutes, and then it happened.\u00a0 The iPhone rang, and it was a video call.<\/p>\n

Mary got a call from Paris, France, and it was Becky.\u00a0 She just got engaged an hour earlier after dining in the Effiel Tower!\u00a0 Her first call was to her mom; it took me two hours to scrape Mary off the ceiling!\u00a0 We opened a bottle of champagne and celebrated.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

We called Colleen immediately and shared the good news.\u00a0 We chatted with her for twenty minutes before returning to the movie.<\/p>\n

We got settled down and watched a John Wayne movie we had never seen, “The Bank Robbers,” and Mary made a unique medical concoction that is guaranteed to chase away any remaining Covid remnants.\u00a0 We still have half a jar of bat wings remaining.<\/p>\n

Happy Mommy!!<\/p><\/div>\n

Mary found a frozen batch of stew, and we made a meal of it and watched another movie before turning in for the evening.<\/p>\n

BTW, it was Jan’s 84th birthday today, so we called and apologized for not coming over, but better safe than sorry.\u00a0 Tomorrow morning I am going to do a fly-by and deliver birthday cookies!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
