Before the roosters got up, Mary and I spoke with Colleen, who made our reservations for the Detroit surgery next week.\u00a0 While we are gone, Colleen and Irene will stay at the house watching the pooch!<\/p>\n

The roosters have crowed, so it is time to arise and face the day with our first stop, Seal Beach, to visit the podiatrist.\u00a0 \u00a0It was easy because his recommendation was to leave the orthotics alone; they still fit after 15 years but put a lift in the shoes to assist the Achilles Tendon to get better.\u00a0 We almost escaped with a $10 charge for the lifts, but alas, Mary spotted some green flip-flops!<\/p>\n

We went to the club again for lunch and split a salad and a chicken quesadilla.\u00a0 A quesadilla is a Mexican dish consisting of a tortilla filled primarily with cheese and sometimes meats, spices, and other fillings, then cooked on a griddle or stove.\u00a0 Traditionally, a corn tortilla is used, but it can also be made with a flour tortilla.<\/p>\n

What did the quesadilla say to the tortilla last night?\u00a0 Buenos no-cheese!<\/h3>\n

We had a leisurely lunch before heading to Jan’s via Trader Joe’s!<\/p>\n

We had a ring-side seat to the activities on the curse.<\/p><\/div>\n

A man returned to the U.S. after a trip abroad feeling very ill.
\nHe goes to see his doctor and is immediately rushed to the hospital to undergo a barrage of extensive tests. He’s negative for COVID, Ebola, Malaria, and pretty much all the recognizable infectious diseases.<\/p>\n

The man wakes up after the tests in a private room at the hospital, and the phone by his bed rings.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is your doctor. We\u2019ve got the results back from your battery of tests, and we\u2019ve found you have an extremely nasty and rare virus that is highly contagious and is frequently fatal.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOh my gosh,\u201d cries the man. He\u2019s in a panic now. \u201cWhat are you going to do, Doctor?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, we\u2019re going to put you on a diet of pizzas, pancakes, and quesadillas.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWill that cure me?\u201d asked the man hopefully.<\/p>\n

The doctor replied, \u201cNo\u2026 but it\u2019s the only food we can slide under the door.\u201d\n<\/p><\/div>\n

At Trader Joe’s, they only had one case of Two-Buck Chuck; what is happening to this world?\u00a0 We visited Jan, and all is well.<\/p>\n

From Jan’s, we flew home and then off to the gym.\u00a0 Mary did the whole course, and I managed to do the upper torso exercises only; I am keeping the knee and foot quiet.<\/p>\n

The garden is coming along, it is painfully slow, but the job is being done right.\u00a0 All the seating should be done by Friday, and then comes the cement pour.<\/p>\n
