Fact: It takes around 2,000 tiny leaves to make just one pound of finished tea.\u00a0 <\/strong>There are more than 1,500 types of teas in the world.\u00a0 Tea plants grow wild in Asia, but over 25 countries cultivate tea as a plantation crop.\u00a0 The very best tea comes from high elevations and is hand-picked.<\/em><\/p>\n

Irene stayed with us last night so she could go to the Elks Tea Party this afternoon and not have to drive back to Long Beach.\u00a0 \u00a0After yesterday’s long walk in the park, Mary and I didn’t move until past 7:30 AM; almost unheard of!<\/p>\n

We departed Casa Valencia at about 9:45, arriving at the Elks at 10:10 AM.\u00a0 Robin followed us, and Robin, Irene, and Mary set everything up.\u00a0 I went next door and had breakfast!<\/p>\n

The ladies seemed to enjoy the tea.\u00a0 We missed Becca, but she was at Disneyland celebrating her niece’s birthday.<\/p>\n
