Fact:\u00a0\u00a0Live from New York \u2026 It\u2019s Saturday Night!\u00a0 <\/strong>Chevy Chase first uttered that famous line on October 11th, 1975.\u00a0 The sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live would become one of the longest-running series of all time, with over 47 seasons as of 2022.<\/em><\/p>\n

We got up at 6:00 AM and went into the swim spa!\u00a0 The temperature was already 77 degrees outside!\u00a0 From the spa, we went to the yard and worked for about two hours before the heat was unbearable.<\/p>\n

How hot was it, you asked? The farmers are feeding their chickens crushed ice to keep them from laying hard-boiled eggs.<\/p>\n

Joe called, and he, plus five teenagers, were headed in our direction at 11:00 AM.\u00a0 We decided pizza was for lunch; it was too hot to cook anything inside even though the house was 77 degrees.<\/p>\n

Robin came over, and she and Mary worked on the table settings for the upcoming tea party.\u00a0 It looked pretty good!<\/p>\n

I took a short nap before cleaning up and got ready to go to Campus JAX in Newport.\u00a0 We went with David and Dianne meeting them there at 5:30 PM for drinks and dinner.<\/p>\n

The music was terrific!<\/p><\/div>\n

We all had or tried the shrimp-stuffed avocado, which was excellent, and they used a little soy sauce in the mixture to give it a kick!<\/p>\n

Wonderful!<\/p><\/div>\n

The restaurant specialized in Creole cooking, so when I spotted the spicy Jambalaya, I went for it.\u00a0 It was pretty good.<\/p>\n

I was indeed spicy!!\u00a0 The sausage was probably the culprit.<\/p><\/div>\n

I danced with Mary and Dianne, and the music was terrific!\u00a0 After the second dance, I asked Dianne, “What do you get when you play country music backward?”\u00a0 I could not figure out why she looked at me so funny, but I answered the question: “You get back your wife, your dog, and your truck.”<\/p>\n
