The “term reunion” is perhaps overstated because hie official reunion was canceled twice because of COVID-19.<\/p>\n
We packed for three days.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Now it’s two years later and the event is a birthday party for one of the guys in Mary’s class.\u00a0 He was kind enough to throw the invite open to the entire class.\u00a0 So, off we go! in a cloud of fur and a “Hi You Silver Van”… Yes, Scout is coming along!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n June 9<\/p>\n Thursday<\/td>\n (6+ Hours)<\/td>\n June 10<\/p>\n Friday<\/td>\n (5 Hours)<\/td>\n June 11<\/p>\n Saturday<\/td>\n Later we went to the reunion at the Walk-About Brewery.<\/p>\n After the reunion, we went to Porter’s\u00a0 for dinner (a surprise for Mary)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n June 12<\/p>\n Sunday<\/td>\n June 13<\/p>\n Monday<\/td>\n Lunch with Steve & Ty Wilson & Lanette at McMinnanan’s.<\/p>\n Afterwards, we went to the Evergreen museum and saw the Spruce Goose.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n June 14<\/p>\n Tuesday<\/td>\n (5 1\/2hours)<\/td>\n June 15<\/p>\n Wednesday<\/td>\n (5 1\/2 Hours)<\/td>\n June 16<\/p>\n Thursday<\/td>\n (4 1\/2 Hours)<\/td>\n June 17<\/p>\n Friday<\/td>\n (3 1\/2 Hours)<\/td>\n We did NOT go off-line, we went on a road trip but did NOT want to advertise it here.\u00a0 Mary and Paul\u00a0 decided that Mary’s 50th High School reunion was our target destination See the overview of the entire trip! … Continue reading \n\n
\n Day<\/th>\n Destination\/Activity<\/th>\n Comments<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n \n T-3<\/a><\/td>\n Rounding Up Things<\/td>\n We had to get the dogie goodies ready.\u00a0 Mary ironed and Paul worked on the car getting it ready for packing!<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \n T-2<\/a><\/td>\n Packing<\/td>\n Mary packed and lucky Paul threw everything is a paper sack and declared victory!<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \n T-1<\/a><\/td>\n Final Preparations<\/td>\n We packed the car for an early morning exit from the LA traffic.\u00a0 6:00 AM arrives early<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \n Day 1<\/a><\/p>\n Drive to Sacramento<\/p>\n The forecast is for 106 degree temperature! We did not get to see the train museum because there was no place for Scout; that means another trip north!<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \n Day 2<\/a><\/p>\n Drive to Medford<\/p>\n Off to Medford where we visited Mary’s early history and the places she remembers growing up. We settled in and then went to meet Sally and Paul at the country club where Paul is a member.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \n Day 3<\/a><\/p>\n Party Time from 5-10 PM<\/td>\n Visited Medford and dined with Cyndy in the morning.<\/p>\n \n \/a>day 4<\/a><\/p>\n Drive to Eugene

We picked up Mary’s grandmother’s hope chest; the other reason for the trip.Stayed with Lanette in Oregon City .<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n\n Day 5<\/a><\/p>\n Stay in Oregon City Visiting With Lanette<\/td>\n We toured Oregon City with Lanette in the morning.<\/p>\n \n Day 6<\/a><\/p>\n Drive to Crescent City<\/p>\n Off and running, we went to Crescent City and Mary had us stay at the Hitchcock Hotel.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \n Day 7<\/a><\/p>\n Drive to Santa Rosa<\/p>\n It was a seven hours drive but we saw the redwoods up close and personal. We walked the Trees of Mystery for two hours and drove the Avenue of the Giants.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \n Day 8<\/a><\/p>\n Drive to Solvang<\/p>\n We went right through the heart of San Fransisco! We had a great lunch at Subway.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n \n Day 9<\/a><\/p>\n Drive home<\/p>\n Three hours and we were home. We took 101 to the 405 and the 22 to the 55.
