Our eyes began to focus at 5:30 AM, and it was, therefore, time for the Swim Spa.\u00a0 Bark, the Wonder Dog, is already outside, clearing the area and making sure no prowlers are in the yard.\u00a0 We had our coffee and talked while the ‘ol bones got loosened up!\u00a0 Mary almost became an osteopath.\u00a0 She said she could feel it in her bones.<\/p>\n

After a good soak, we got dressed and took Precious for a run down to Banning to visit Annie.\u00a0 Banning is exactly 60 miles or one hour from our home, and we use the Fast-Pass to do down the 91.\u00a0 Then we take the 60 and finally on to the 10 for a few files.<\/p>\n
Did You Know<\/strong>?\u00a0 Banning is a city in Riverside County, California, United States, and the population was 35,603 at the 2020 census.\u00a0 It is situated in the San Gorgonio Pass, also known as Banning Pass.\u00a0 It is named for Phineas Banning, stagecoach line owner and the “Father of the Port of Los Angeles.”<\/p>\n Banning shares geographic and regional features with its western neighbor, the city of Beaumont.\u00a0 Banning and Beaumont have been rapidly growing in size and population since the 1990s.\u00a0 Both cities are about 80 miles east of downtown Los Angeles and 30 miles west of Palm Springs, each connected by freeway and railroad.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n We decided to bring them (and us) a healthy lunch, so we stopped by Wienerschnitzel for chili-cheese gods and sauerkraut-dog for Annie.\u00a0 Wienerschnitzel is an American fast-food chain founded in 1961 specializing in hot dogs.\u00a0 Despite the name, the company does not sell Wiener schnitzel, only selling it once as a promotional item.<\/p>\n Of course, I asked Mary, “What do you call a hot dog race?\u00a0 Wiener takes all.”<\/p>\n Read about der Wienerschnitzel on Wikipedia; it has an interesting history!<\/a><\/p>\n She was not doing that well, so we did not stay too long.\u00a0 Annie stayed in bed while we were there, but her son later reported that Annie ate the whole hotdog, making us happy.<\/p>\n They are looking pretty good for being in their mid-90s.<\/p><\/div>\n We worked in the yard most of the afternoon with Mary going some weeding, and I mainly repaired hoses and placed them on the three new faucets done in the south forty.\u00a0 I arranged some of the bricks to outline where we wanted the planters placed.\u00a0 The larger is going to be a beauty.<\/p>\n We gonn have a vegetable farm by July 4th!!<\/p><\/div>\n The doorbell rang, and a delivery person left a big heavy box!\u00a0 What could it be; it was too big for my order of toothpicks!\u00a0 I peeked inside, and it was the outside commercial stainless steel sink that we will put adjacent to the garden.\u00a0 Now we can wash the crops as we pick them and not drag dirt into the house.\u00a0 We will have cold water, and the “dirty” water will drain back into the garden, so it is not wasted!<\/p>\n It required some assembly; it sounds like a job for Super Joe<\/p><\/div>\n By 6:00 PM, we were well done and began cleaning up.\u00a0 Mary fixed a delicious Veal Piccata dinner with fresh striking beans from the harden.\u00a0 String beans can only be picked by a professional string bean taster and they are difficult to find.\u00a0 I, being the luckiest guy on Earth, happened to be married to a professional green bean taster!<\/p>\n Tasting green beans mean you need to be in proper gardening attire which means grubbies and a bean tasting hat!<\/p><\/div>\n We attempted to watch a movie, but to no avail; we were pooped!\u00a0 We saved some work for tomorrow, so we are not worried.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Fact: The Czech, Polish, Slovenian, Croatian, Serbian, Ukrainian, and Belarusian words for Sunday can be translated as “without acts (no work).” Our eyes began to focus at 5:30 AM, and it was, therefore, time for the Swim Spa.\u00a0 Bark, the … Continue reading ![\"\"](\"http:\/\/lilesnet.com\/dailydiary\/wp-content\/dailydiary\/uploads\/2022\/05\/2022-05-29-001-650x488.jpg\")
