Fact: When there’s a double rainbow, the second rainbow mirrors the primary one.<\/strong> It’s always exciting to spot a rainbow\u2014but it’s even more thrilling to spot a double rainbow. Frankly, you may have been so captivated by the stunning occurrence that you failed to notice a wonderfully delightful detail: The second arch displays its colors in the opposite order of the primary rainbow!<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Even though it was Saturday morning, we got up early because the tree people were supposed to be here between eight and 9:30 AM.\u00a0 Mary went out into the street and took a look at where we first marked for the plants to be put.\u00a0 After seeing it from across the street, we adjusted their locations by a couple of feet so they would be just right.<\/p>\n

I asked Mary, “How does a tree get on the Internet?”\u00a0 She thought about it, and then I blurted out, “It logs in.”<\/p>\n

Where shall we put the trees?<\/p><\/div>\n

The picture below is the “before” shot.\u00a0 We will have a producing orange and avocado trees in a few short years.\u00a0 It’s a perfect location because our house faces north, and the sun will come across the back of the house and provide plenty of sunshine for the new trees, and it will not shade the flowers on the wall.<\/p>\n

We marked the spot!<\/p><\/div>\n

The five guys went to work digging holes in my beautiful front yard. They did an excellent job at cleaning up, and not only that, they took the grass that they had dug up and moved it to the backyard and put it where the two previous trees were.<\/p>\n

The guys show up at 9:30 AM.<\/p><\/div>\n

Their equipment was perfect for this type of work.\u00a0 They had loading ramps and lifts in three places. The truck had a crew cab because all six guys fit in with no problem.<\/p>\n

Ready to go!<\/p><\/div>\n

The avocado tree already has some small fruit on it; we could potentially get avocados later on in the summer.\u00a0 I tried to make guacamole with an unripe avocado. It was pit-iful.<\/p>\n

How do avocado spies communicate? They use guacie-talkies!<\/p>\n

They did a great job of putting in the trees!<\/p><\/div>\n

Mary inspects the new plantings; they look lovely.\u00a0 The orange tree is full of blossoms, and it should produce later this summer!\u00a0 I love oranges, and thanks to our super neighbors, we never run out. In fact,\u00a0 I\u2019m scared I\u2019m turning orange. Hopefully, it\u2019s just a pigment of my imagination!<\/p>\n

Mary eyeballs the results.<\/p><\/div>\n

After the plantings, Mary and I made bread, with her doing most of the work!\u00a0 We made two loaves, one in a bread machine and the other from scratch and a loaf pan.\u00a0 They made the house smell wonderful.<\/p>\n

At 3:30 PM, it was nappy time; a good hour nap was needed as we were both tired.\u00a0 At 4:45 PM, we were up and moving again and put away Easter.\u00a0 We cannot find the Easter ornament small boxes which were in the garage for the past two months!\u00a0 We gave up and bubble-wrapped everything!<\/p>\n

Scout was next door at a party, but he will be home soon!<\/p>\n

Robin and Bob are coming over tonight for a visit which we always enjoy.\u00a0 We sat outside for almost two hours until the thermometer indicated 64 degrees.\u00a0 We came inside, and I lit the fireplace to knock off some of the evening chills!\u00a0 We had homemade bread and drank margaritas and wine until 10:00 PM.\u00a0 Bob and daughter Robin are just simply delightful!<\/p>\n

The Duda’s come over for a visit!<\/p><\/div>\n

The day was quite successful as days go.\u00a0 We got new trees; the backyard dead trees are gone, we brushed up on our bread-making skills, Easter is put away; all is good!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
