Fact: The scientific term for brain freeze is “sphenopalatine ganglion neuralgia.”<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Yesterday is gone.\u00a0 Tomorrow has not yet come.\u00a0 We have only today.\u00a0 Let us begin.<\/p>\n

The cleaning folks came at 8:00 AM, which means we had to get up at 6:00 AM and clean the house!\u00a0 By the time they arrived, our showers were complete, and we had already had our coffee; we were ready to go!\u00a0 We could tell Domilita had arrived because of Scout’s careful attention to the sounds of a “knock”<\/p>\n

Oh so true!<\/p><\/div>\n

More errands; when does it end?\u00a0 How did we get these done when we were working?\u00a0 Our first stop was a flyby at Jan’s, where we dropped off some goodies we made the night before.\u00a0 From there, we went to the post office to return things to Amazon.\u00a0 \u00a0The sign in the corner said, “Stamps sold by the book.”\u00a0 Good to know they follow the rules.<\/p>\n

We are off again, but I could not remember how to get to the shipping center; we are NOT shoppers, thanks to Amazon!<\/p>\n

I tried to remember how to get to the shopping center!<\/p><\/div>\n

We found a new way into the Santa Ana Center, and now we can get to Brighton without having to walk a mile through two other big stores!\u00a0 I left some cracker crumbs for the next time we go in about three months!<\/p>\n

Mary’s comfort zone!<\/p><\/div>\n

While Mary did her business, I stood amazed at the vastness of this shopping area.\u00a0 The place is a mathematical beauty!\u00a0 That reminded me that yesterday I went to a 7-11 and asked for a 2\u00d74 and a box of 3\u00d75’s, and the clerk said, “ten-four.”<\/p>\n

We seldom go inside one of these!<\/p><\/div>\n

We popped by a foundation store, and I stayed in the car to battle my GPS unit.\u00a0 I finally figured out how to have my favorites; I no longer have to memorize the latitude and longitude of each place we go!<\/p>\n

We stopped by the market to get supplies for Saturday night’s dinner, and they had Jan’s favorite potato chips, so we got a bag just for her.\u00a0 After departing the store, I looked at my watch, and it indicated 5:00 PM, meaning we could go by Jan’s, deliver the chips, and beg for a small glass of wine.\u00a0 \u00a0We arrived at Jan’s at 12:15 PM; yes, my watch was lying, I have it trained well!<\/p>\n

Our trunk had cold groceries in it, so we only stayed a half-hour!<\/p>\n

Home again, and while Mary put up the groceries, I did some outside chores, including taking pictures of our new maple tree; it is doing well!<\/p>\n

Our new fire maple is doing just fine.<\/p><\/div>\n

We looked at each other and decided phooey, we are going to relax today because we know Thursday will be very busy.\u00a0 We decided to have brunch outside on our patio, and after that, both Mary and I got our e-books and began to read.<\/p>\n

…and he has a library card!<\/p><\/div>\n

The weather was absolutely fantastic, and only later on in the afternoon, around 4 o’clock, did it start to get cool.<\/p>\n

Look carefully; she is reading in her red blanket!<\/p><\/div>\n

We love our e-books, and in fact, we have five of them between the two of us.\u00a0 What is so lovely is that you can put one down and pick up another, and it’ll bring you right back to the spot you were the first one.\u00a0 There’s also the added benefit of looking up words that you don’t know.<\/p>\n

I remember Groucho Marx saying, “I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book.\u201d<\/p>\n

We sat outside the read our e-books for two hours!<\/p><\/div>\n

As the sun began to set, it got a little cool outside, so we went inside, sat on the couch, and continued reading.\u00a0 I finished off a 274-page book today.\u00a0 By 5 o’clock, Mary finished off her book for the day.<\/p>\n

Mary said she was hungry right before she finished her book, so I decided to make dinner; that means it’ll be elementary.\u00a0 I dug through the freezer and found two slices of veggie pizza we had last week; I put those in the microwave for four minutes, and there was dinner.\u00a0 I prepared some delightful artichokes for dessert, which we had with mayonnaise.<\/p>\n

Mary read; I cooked dinner!<\/p><\/div>\n

One of our guests on Saturday is allergic to gluten, so we looked through all of the recipes that we had planned and found some substitutes they were going to try.<\/p>\n

We are getting ready for this weekend’s dinner party.<\/p><\/div>\n

By 8 o’clock, we were done in the kitchen, so we headed to the bedroom, turned on the TV, continued reading for a while, and by 9 o’clock, I was crashed.\u00a0 Tomorrow is going to be a busy day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
