As Dad used to say, “It’s coming down like a cow pissing on a flat rock!”<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

We were awakened by the downpour around 4:00 AM and stayed in bed listening to the rain until it was time to rise at 6:00 AM. It was too cold to do anything fun, so we attacked the Christmas Tree with Colleen’s help.\u00a0 Mary put on the lights, and since she was down on the floor, I assisted in moving her to the following location where lights were needed. After looking at the lights, I told Mary, “Not sure if my Christmas tree lights are real or just a filament of my imagination.”<\/p>\n

Mary returned with, “I was highly decorated when I was in the army. I used to always wrap tinsel around my helmet.”\u00a0 She keeps me laughing!<\/p>\n

Up to the second floor to decorate our tree!<\/p><\/div>\n

We sorted decorations in a) put in the tree, b) throw out, c) give as a donation to the Goodwill, and d) send to the kids (even though they would not want them; they can throw them out).\u00a0 Tomorrow we will do the same with my decorations, and by the first of the year, we will have a set we can use next year!<\/p>\n

Please don’t laugh; it is up and mostly verticle!<\/p><\/div>\n

We have celebrated Christmas together for two years now, and we are finding we have a lot of the same decorations; great minds think alike!<\/p>\n

Mary and I had identical Mr * Mrs. Claus movable decorations!<\/p><\/div>\n

MAry makes one last pass before we clean up and head out to dinner.\u00a0 Connor was going to join us be we had a cold and did not want to pass it on to the old folks; we will see his Saturday at the birthday party!<\/p>\n

Final touches before we begin again tomorrow.<\/p><\/div>\n

We went to Patty’s Place and had a wonderful meal with Colleen.\u00a0 We sat at the bar and talked to the locals; we are considered locals\/regulars by the crowd.<\/p>\n

On our way from Seal Beach and Patty’s Place, we did a flyby at Vicky’s house to deliver dessert and pick up three-dozen tamales she got from a secret tamale maker in East LA.<\/p>\n

We then headed to Jan’s house to do another flyby where we brought dessert here; we stayed for a while and had a small bottle of wine.<\/p>\n

Off to Jan’s for a “flyby.”<\/p><\/div>\n

Then we headed for home and watched a Christmas movie, or at least tried to!<\/p>\n

Safely home and ready for a movie!<\/p><\/div>\n
