All of my fingers were injured in the 4th of July fireworks. My closest friends say that they can\u2019t count on me anymore.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

We beat the rooster up this morning!\u00a0 I headed to Casa Valencia to hang up the chandelier while Mary finished marking the items to be moved.\u00a0 I also went by the Salvation Army, but they are VERY choosey on what they will take.\u00a0 Good Will, on the other hand, will take almost anything!<\/p>\n

Yes indeed!<\/p><\/div>\n

After sizing up the chandelier task, I called for assistance. Bob Z. came over, and we hung the chandelier.\u00a0 It took two people, but it is up and solidly mounted to the ceiling.\u00a0 Bob is great to work with as we read each other’s minds.\u00a0 Bob asked if perhaps we should move it ourselves and save money.\u00a0 He thought he could do it in one trip!<\/p>\n

We analyzed the situation and decided no; we would let the pros do the job!<\/p><\/div>\n

Just as Bob and I headed to Casa Valencia, Diane showed up to help Mary through some of the packing activity.\u00a0 Having moral support is essential, especially after leaving home after a quarter of a century.<\/p>\n

I kept asking if I should turn on the power source or not!!!<\/p><\/div>\n

We discovered the downlight was burnt out, so we got replacement LED’s, and now the light is brighter yet.\u00a0 I am going to replace the lights with LED lights as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

It really looks good!<\/p><\/div>\n

Bob departed from Casa Valencia to head home, and I continued to work for a bit.\u00a0 My feeling was Mary was hungry, so I stopped by Subway and brought her lunch at 4:00 PM. Mary said, “I’m so hungry I could eat a horse and chase the rider.”<\/p>\n

The packers showed up around 2:00 PM and went to work.\u00a0 Magically all the pictures and things were wrapped and ready for the movers tomorrow at 7:30 AM.<\/p>\n

Ready to go!<\/p><\/div>\n

Mary labeled everything, including Scout The Wonder Dog.\u00a0 The tag on my forehead said, “If misbehaving, put into broom closet!”\u00a0 It was hard to believe that two hours earlier, the place almost resembled a home.\u00a0 Mary was well organized and made the packer’s job easy.<\/p>\n

Ready for the packers to do their thing!<\/p><\/div>\n

We took Precious over to Jan’s house for a week’s visit since our garage will be a staging area for the next week or so.\u00a0 We had a glass of vino with Jan and then came to Mary’s and did a double back-flip into the hot tub. We laughed and giggled and then talked about tomorrow being the day we open our drawers and put our things together! (Pun intended!)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
