Every Friday, I like to high-five myself for getting through another week on little more than caffeine, willpower, and inappropriate humor.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Mary worked today, and I did chores around the house.\u00a0 Actually, I attempted to shower twice when the front door opened and people walked in to see the house.\u00a0 I watered and did some serious thinking about the direction I am going.<\/p>\n

OK, here it is.\u00a0 I loved this house and all of the love that it saw over thirty-five years.\u00a0 But, at seventy-six years old, I have but a few years left, so I decided it was time to move on.\u00a0 The new house will be larger and will have room for a shop and entertain our dear friends.\u00a0 So, I accepted an offer for the house, which was good as it requires no inspections, no termites, no nothing.\u00a0 I can stay in the house for a\u00a0 month after escrow closes free and then rent it afterward.\u00a0 It was a gut-wrenching decision, but I am moving on.\u00a0 I wasn’t in a happy frame of mood<\/em>.<\/p>\n

We plan to see a new property on Sunday or Monday.<\/p>\n

Located in Villa Park, it has all the goodies I have been looking for.<\/p><\/div>\n

I had to break the news to Mary; I was going to lunch with my girlfriends since she was working.\u00a0 Nancy and Irene were to meet me at Shenandoah for lunch, but alas, Irene (who drives Nancy) had to bow out.\u00a0 Irene and Nancy are in their mid-80s, so Mary felt safe.\u00a0 The three of us have been friends for a hundred years, dancers you know!<\/p>\n

On Seal Beach Blvd down the street from my home.<\/p><\/div>\n

Mary got off work about 3:00 PM, so I headed to her place for the evening.\u00a0 We had dinner while looking at various new listings.\u00a0 Dinner was terrific.\u00a0 I had a single glass of wine. One reason I don’t drink is that I want to know when I am having a good time.<\/p>\n

We decided to watch another K-9 movie called K-9 PI.\u00a0 We watched another movie, kind of,\u00a0 and then hit the sack.<\/p>\n
