A heart that loves will never grow old, even with the touch of time.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Up at the crack of dawn or 8:00 AM, whatever comes first.\u00a0 We took Scout, The Wonder Dog, to the beauty saloon where he got a baffy and his nails done and other stuff.<\/p>\n

We went to Mary’s PT from the spa, and I got to sit in the car and listen to my latest audiobook entitled “Mayday.”\u00a0 Summary: A supersonic passenger jet flying over the Pacific Ocean is struck by an errant missile. Due to the effects of decompression and oxygen deprivation, all but a handful are incapacitated. Three survivors must attempt to land the airplane, despite attempts to cover up the disaster.<\/p>\n

I love the fact that I can visualize the words and create the setting whether I read or listen, and I enjoy painting the pictures with my mind.\u00a0 It’s like being right there on the airplane with everybody.\u00a0 People who do not read or listen are missing a lot!!<\/p>\n

The Elks had modest beginnings in 1868 as a social club for minstrel show performers called the “Jolly Corks.”\u00a0 It was established as a private club to elude New York City laws governing public taverns’ opening hours. The Elks borrowed rites and practices from Freemasonry.<\/p>\n

We headed to the lodge at 5:00 PM so we could save a table and have a drink!\u00a0 It worked out very well.\u00a0 \u00a0We were visited by a bunny rabbit at the front door, cute!<\/p>\n

Easter is but a few days away.<\/p><\/div>\n

Bob Z had just driven up when we did, so we visited with him before he headed home.\u00a0 Ron showed up and we cavorted with him for quite a while; I was glad Ron could meet the kids.<\/p>\n

Robin recognized Ron from the Daily Diary pictures of last Thursday.<\/p><\/div>\n

Best friends are the people you can do anything and nothing with and still have the best time. I feel blessed to have Robin and the Bob’s in my life.<\/p>\n

Robin wanted to be in a “Bob Sandwich”; she got her chance tonight.<\/p><\/div>\n

We had the taco Tuesday dinner, and it was terrific.\u00a0 The food at the lodge is actually quite nice, and I enjoy their specials.\u00a0 We are going to go Thursday for “Girls Night Out.”<\/p>\n

Not exactly on my diet plan, but how often does your lady become an Elk??<\/p><\/div>\n

Mary will be a wonderful Elks as she is naturally a giver and always thinks about others.\u00a0 I am indeed a fortunate man!<\/p>\n

Just us!\u00a0 Sometimes, being with your best friend, is all the therapy you need.<\/p><\/div>\n

The initiates line up to get their picture together; Mary is the short one in the center.<\/p>\n

Just after she completed the initiation, a joint picture was needed by the lodge.<\/p><\/div>\n

Complete with antlers, what a way to go! The Duda’s remained for a while, and then Ronnie showed up, so it was time to kibitz.<\/p>\n

Dang, she is pretty!<\/p><\/div>\n

We stayed around for about an hour afterward and had a drink with the Duda’s and other friends who were they that night.\u00a0 We went to Mary’s tonight as it is only five miles away via the 55-freeway.<\/p>\n

I am keeping close to the phone as Del is fading quickly and I may need to assist Vicky.\u00a0 He is home this evening but the doctors only give him a few days because of all the complications.<\/p>\n
