I was going to quit all my bad habits for the new year, but then I remembered that nobody likes a quitter.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Nothing to do and no plans, a great way to start retirement.\u00a0 We worked around the house, straightening things up after the busy days of Christmas.\u00a0 Mary packed up some goodies for her kids, and I ran home to cover up things as the forecast calls for a lot of rain.<\/p>\n

I returned about 5:30 PM and helped Mary out for a while before we went to the Rib Trader to have a drink and dine on healthy food.\u00a0 Yes, we had fried zucchini, boneless chicken wings, and onion rings.<\/p>\n

After getting home, Mary made some cookies and found a new way to decorate them!<\/p>\n

Clever lady!<\/p><\/div>\n

Spending time with Miss Mary is plain fun, and I am at her home enough to know what to assist her with when she asks. It’s comforting.<\/p>\n

We did NOT talk to any kids today as I decided to give them the day off. We watched some TV and talked about our New Year’s resolutions.\u00a0 I may have misunderstood what she was saying.<\/p>\n

We did talk about being retired, and I reminded her of what work was like.\u00a0 Boeing and the VA were all managed by mismanagers; it was pretty pathetic.\u00a0 It wasn’t that was 30-40 years ago, but everything has to change; I wish it were for the better!<\/p>\n

Boeing was the same way!<\/p><\/div>\n

Mary was ready to crash, and I headed back to Rossmoor.\u00a0 About midnight, Mary called as it was thundering and lightning.\u00a0 She wanted to make sure I was not afraid and hiding under the bed.\u00a0 I fooled her; I was locked in the guest bathroom!\u00a0 It was doing the same in Rossmoor.\u00a0 Tomorrow we are doing chores, and I am going to the doctor to figure out what’s up with the knee.<\/p>\n
