What do you call someone obsessed with Christmas? Santa-mental.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

I was up early and did my chores, mainly washing the sheets since the cleaning folks were here yesterday.\u00a0 I forgot to leave a check, so I texted Domi, and she popped by mid-morning as she was working the next block over.\u00a0 Now I am even with her plus she and Maria got a little something extra for Christmas.<\/p>\n

Today was my reflection day, I think.\u00a0 I didn’t take a single picture, but I did get a new iPhone 12 Plus from Verizon.\u00a0 I thought a lot about yesterday and my wonderful birthday.\u00a0 It was extraordinary, being surrounded by people who love you.\u00a0 Robin and Bob are just so very special to me.\u00a0 Mary is quite musical because she rings my chimes!<\/p>\n

I am a fortunate man to have such amazing people in my life!<\/p><\/div>\n

The change over to Verizon from AT&T was pretty painless, although I had to leave the phone with them because it took an hour to transfer the data.\u00a0 So far, it is working as expected, although I can’t get the Lexus to pair with the new phone.\u00a0 It seems a trip to the Lexus dealer is in the future.<\/p>\n

After getting the new iPhone, I dropped my Imperial Jewelers to see about earrings for Miss Mary and pick up a ring they were fixing for us.<\/p>\n

At 3:00 PM, I had to be in Long Beach to have the stitches taken out of my forearm, and that went well.\u00a0 I did help him with the gases.<\/p>\n

After the procedure, I headed home to get cleaned up and visit Miss Mary. I made it first to her house, and knowing she would be well behind me, I got on the ladder, stood up on the kitchen sink, and replace an old light fixture with a super-bright LED.\u00a0 Now the sink area lights up like high noon.<\/p>\n

While I was precariously perched on the tiny step ladder, Scout decided to entertain me with Christmas music.<\/p>\n

After I got off the ladder, he taught me the song but he said I should not sing it when Mommy gets home!<\/p><\/div>\n

As I said earlier, it was a day of reflection.\u00a0 I ran across this picture taken thirty years ago the evening Zachary was born at Whittier Hospital.\u00a0 I lost both my beautiful bride Sue as well as my son Mitch this year.\u00a0 They both loved this time of the year.<\/p>\n

Sue and Mitch, a few minutes after Zachary was born, thirty years ago.<\/p><\/div>\n

Life must go on, and indeed it is going well for me.\u00a0 I have my health, my family, and an amazing lady in my life.\u00a0 There comes a time in your life when you have to choose to turn the page, write another book, or simply close it. I have decided to write another book, and at my age, the book will be a romantic adventure featuring Miss Mary and a cast of family and friends.<\/p>\n

Mary got home, and we decided potatoes and artichokes with a slice of cherry pie (courtesy of Colleen) would be in order.\u00a0 We watched Two and A Half Men, almost going into convulsions of laughter at their naughty behaviors!<\/p>\n

Time to hit the sack and ponder the great mysteries of life.<\/p>\n
