The greatest tribute to the dead is not grief but gratitude. – <\/strong><\/em>Thornton Wilder<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

This week Wednesday will be six months without Sue, and every time I post a picture, I can remember that event.\u00a0 Today we were enjoying wine, but they kept giving us stemless glasses, Baugh humbug!\u00a0 We managed to get through the visit, but it went on our list of “do not bother to return!”<\/p>\n

But as usual, she was gracious, and we enjoyed the drink!\u00a0 Sue was a lovely lady in every respect.<\/p>\n

It was an exciting day as mid-morning Mary decided to take me up on my offer to get her other car home from the shop.\u00a0 Around 11:00 AM Mary picked me up, and we went to the Fish Company for lunch, neither of us had eaten anything.\u00a0 Mary has a sportscar, so I got my exercise getting in and out of the seat.\u00a0 By mid-afternoon, I figured out a way to do it gracefully.<\/p>\n

We had trout, and it was excellent.<\/p><\/div>\n

We then headed to Huntington Beach to pick up the truck, and I drove it to Mary’s house.\u00a0 From there we went to visit mutual friends.\u00a0 Wow, they have a museum in their home, and it was terrific.\u00a0 They had wax figures from the old Wax Museum on Beach Blvd, music boxes, large stained glass windows, and tons of other movie paraphernalia plus a collection of unusual antiques.\u00a0 We visit David and Diane for a couple of hours.<\/p>\n

We returned to Mary’s to make sure her baby was OK.\u00a0 Scout was just fine; then it was off to dinner.\u00a0 Our first target was the Orange County Mining Company, but it was not open on Monday, so I called Patty’s Pace, and we enjoyed dinner there.<\/p>\n

Another great meal at Patty’s Place<\/p><\/div>\n

Mary drove me home, about four miles from Patty’s,\u00a0 and then she was off to her home in time to rest a bit and get ready for work tomorrow.\u00a0 All I had to do was get ready for the cancer surgery at 8:00 AM.<\/p>\n
