Sue and Colleen became bonded at the hip after Jon was brought into this world.\u00a0 Colleen stayed with us when her husband was deployed overseas, and that was a special time.\u00a0 Grandma Sue just loved being Mom and Grandma.\u00a0 We had unforgettable times together, and we did until the very end.\u00a0 Colleen was on her way out to visit when my loving wife passed.\u00a0 I miss Sue so very much, and reality is setting in that I will never see her again, especially after going through our library of books we accumulated together.\u00a0 I found pictures and memories in those books, but at 75, I\u00a0 won’t need them anymore.<\/p>\n

Sue became very close to Colleen over the years.<\/p><\/div>\n

The messager app lit up this morning, and it was Zack checking up on me.\u00a0 He will never know how much it means to have someone care enough to reach out for a couple of minutes and just say, “Hi, how ya doin’?”\u00a0 I do get calls all day from family and friends, and I love it.<\/p>\n

I called Becca this morning to make sure she got my email about the “box drinks”; she did and loved it.\u00a0 We talked for quite a while.<\/p>\n

Rush and Dr. Laura keep my mind busy from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM as Sue, and I always listened to them, so I expect her to be nearby.<\/p>\n

My son called and we talked for quite a while.\u00a0 He was worried about Robin’s visit, but I assured him that Robin has been indoors for the past several weeks, no conditions to worry about and that we would be OK.\u00a0 He is a good boy!<\/p>\n

Today, I must get ready for Robin to visit.\u00a0 She is planning for 1:00 PM, meaning we will go to the Yucatan Grill and get something to bring home.\u00a0 We want to support their business.\u00a0 When I got there, Mother Nature called, so I used the facilities, and much to my dismay, the unthinkable le happened!<\/p>\n

Returning home, we dined while watching the rain pour down into the pool.\u00a0 I rained cats and dogs for an hour!<\/p>\n

We then called an old friend, George Lee, and talked to him for almost an hour.\u00a0 George and I (and Robin) go back to the mid-1980s, where we met in Downey at Rockwell.<\/p>\n

Courtesy of my grandson, I now have some of the n95 face-masks.\u00a0 He bought several a month ago when working in a house with a lot of asbestos.\u00a0 He had some to spare so now I can go to the market tomorrow.\u00a0 Thank you, Zack!<\/p>\n

The doorbell rang, and it was Hello Fresh with this week’s delights!<\/p>\n

We are going to have fun cooking these!<\/p><\/div>\n

We then set up a three-way with Colleen\/Mark and Pete\/Lisa and us and chattered for another 45 minutes before going to Zoom #3 with Pam Reed and Teresa Brenner.<\/p>\n

Great fun with my family!<\/p><\/div>\n

We then returned to the living room and watched two episodes of “The Ranch” before crashing.<\/p>\n

It was raining hard and I wanted to make sure the cars were OK so I went outside.<\/p>\n

The Moon was up and shining just after it rained very hard!<\/p><\/div>\n

Speaking about being outside int he open and the current paper shortage, this just struck me as funny!\u00a0 I know this deserves two elbows from Sue, but that’s OK, it is worth it!<\/p>\n
