7:00 AM and I heard something in the house moving.\u00a0 Then I remembered Robin stayed overnight.\u00a0 We had coffee and talked until she departed to take care of her sister.\u00a0 \u00a0Robin and I “Bat Phoned” to Colleen for a bit just checking on arrangements and things.<\/p>\n

Bob Z came to the house about 9:00 AM, and we went to Gourmet Pies, a terrific old fashioned coffee house.\u00a0 We chattered and talked and planned and cried for a good hour before he dropped me back home. He and Donna are good friends.\u00a0 Bob selected\u00a0Machaca & Eggs, which I have never tried.\u00a0 It was house-made, seasoned shredded beef with tomatoes, onions, and cilantro scrambled with eggs, served with beans, rice, and tortillas.<\/p>\n

Simply excellent food and fantastic service!<\/p><\/div>\n

This week was amazing.\u00a0 Twice I rode in a car with someone else driving.\u00a0 I cannot remember ever being a passenger in a car, ever!\u00a0 I will admit the first ride was like being at Star Wars in Disneyland, but Vicky did land the vehicle safely!<\/p>\n

Returning home after breakfast, I hit the yard and filled up four more 100-gallon trash cans with clippings from the trees in the front yard.\u00a0 My trashcans were already filled, so I had to “borrow” one from Vicky, Donnie, the Tans, and the Smith’s.\u00a0 \u00a0The yard is “clean.”\u00a0 Only some minor trimming to do tomorrow.<\/p>\n

He got a hell of a haircut today. I picked about 100 oranges off the tree and gave them to the neighbors.<\/p><\/div>\n

Off to the H&H Nursery to get some supplies and goodies to plant.\u00a0 Four tomatoes, squash, rainbow Swiss chard, potatoes, and string beans topped the list.\u00a0 Tomorrow I will go planting and spreading the straw Joe brought me.<\/p>\n

Almost right down the street!<\/p><\/div>\n

I needed to rest, so I stopped working at 4:00 PM because I planned to go to the GG Elks this evening.\u00a0 At 7:00 PM, I arrived, and the gang was there.\u00a0 We enjoyed a lovely evening, and I headed home at 9:00 PM, arriving at 9:20 PM.\u00a0 I did not eat as I was not hungry, but I did have a G&T to settle down.<\/p>\n

I miss my bride in the evening, as that was our “our time.” The chores of the day melted away, and the hours of sharing began in earnest. I have decided that the babies are going to be buried with Sue to make sure we all stay together eventually,<\/p>\n
