What! No flowers to say, “Good Morning?” Nope, these little guys are on our front tree and will be breakfast soon!<\/p><\/div>\n

5:43 AM is a wonderful time to arise.\u00a0 Our heater turned on at 5:30 AM, and the house was already at 72 degrees, so the trip to the “gentlemen’s lounge” will not be bone-chilling!<\/p>\n

Today’s pre-hospital visit chore is housecleaning because our house cleaners are coming at 11:00 AM.\u00a0 That means I will examine the countertops and empty them of “stuff” and make sure the wash is done and put up so the sheets can get their turn in the bubble bath!<\/p>\n

Also, this morning I must look for shoes.\u00a0 Ready for this?\u00a0 I took two pairs of black dress shoes to the shoe repair store.\u00a0 Both needed some work.\u00a0 Well, the little Chinaman who runs the store (and we have known for 25 years) looked up at me and said, “What dis? Where are the other shoes? These are not a pair!”.\u00a0<\/p>\n

I did not understand until he carefully pointed out that I brought two different shoes as a pair.\u00a0 Sure enough, if you look close, they were NOT a set.\u00a0 I have been wearing them as a pair for two years.\u00a0 This morning, I shall examine the bottom of our 20′ long walk-in closet and see if the other halves can be found!<\/p>\n

More bad news!\u00a0 I opened yesterday’s mail, and there it was, our Dentist is retiring in April after 44 years!\u00a0 We have gone to him for 32 years. Wow!\u00a0 My teeth will not know what to do!<\/p>\n

The radio was on when I started the Silver Ghost, and immediately my mind got this image:<\/p>\n

I whispered into the Silver Ghosts dashboard the magic words. “CPK,” and she came to life; black smoked billowed from her tailpipe, RPM’s hit 5,000. She lurched from her bed in the garage to the street with tires smoking.\u00a0 She thought she was getting pizza and maybe a stop at the 76 Station! Alas, we stopped at CPK for Sue’s pizza and soup!<\/p>\n

Sue was doing OK but was still in bed at 11:15 AM. I got her up, into a wheelchair, and off for a run around the facility before lunch.\u00a0 Sue did well on the little 7″ pizza finishing off about 40% of the pie.<\/p>\n

I stayed while she did the PT.\u00a0 She was managing to standup\/sitdown about five times before having to stop.\u00a0 It appears she will be in this facility another week, at least, not great news for either of us!<\/p>\n

Dealing with pain and PT isn’t fair!<\/p><\/div>\n

I returned home and took a short nap, and then proceeded to do some work about the house! At 5:30 PM, I headed back to the hospital and made sure she had a bite to eat even though she said she was not hungry.\u00a0 Tomorrow I am having lunch with Robin at 11:00 AM, and I will bring Sue a veggie tamale, which she loves from the Yucatan Grill!<\/p>\n

As the clock approached 7:45 PM, I departed after making sure she was put to bed.\u00a0 I was lonely, so I stopped by Patty’s Place and had some sliders and a couple;e of drinks! ON my way home, I got a text for Vicky saying, “We are at your dining room table drinking your beer and having a party!”.<\/p>\n

When I arrived home, Vicky and Del were awaiting my arrival.\u00a0 We talked until 11:00 PM.\u00a0 After that, I was to pooped to pop and just fell into bed, not getting up until 7:30 AM the next morning.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
